Help Yahoo Mail App not notifying!?!?

Hey guys wanted to see if anyone had a solution or if this was also happening to you. Before yahoo mail app last few updates I would always get my email notification. After the updates I don't I have to go into the app manually and check. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and reset my phone completely and still no luck. Its the only app I have that doesn't notify me Ive even tried the setting toggles. Anybody know how to fix this or if its possible? Yahoo hasn't fixed this in months. Thinking about transferring over to Gmail. Although a hassel since I've used yahoo for years and need my emails for work. I have the Lg Motion 4g stock 4.0.4

have you checked settings inside the app? Gmail has this option. If it does not work, you may forwad mails to gmail and have no issues with notifications.

I would jump into the 20th century with the rest of us :D and loose the crappy Yaahoo account.

Yaahoo mail is looked at as badly now as AOHell ever was. No offense meant to you but I have a hard time taking any email seriously that comes from a Yaahoo account.

But, I doubt you'll leave Yaahoo, I've tried off and on for 2 years to get my parents to and they won't either. Everytime I go to their house and they want me to look at something on their Yaahoo mail page I almost throw up in my mouth a bit.

And FWIW, I have a Yaahoo account myself, but it hasn't been used (by me) for years now.

Gmail is the kitties jammies. It IS The Way a webmail service is Supposed to work. (Except that you can't mod the look of your own page much anymore but that's more looks related than function related.)

Hey thanks for the advice. Yes Ive looked into the yahoo settings no luck. I'll definitely look into the options on Gmail. Might as well just completely switch everything to Gmail. Alot of accounts Lol

Actually I dont mind getting rid of yahoo. Just a lot of accounts under my yahoo email. Its gonna be a hassel to change them all but I do agree that Gmail is better.

you dont need to get rid of any addresses, just forward them to your gmail account. It should be under POP settings, its very simple to set it through the computer.

Well I looked through the setting and added my yahoo account to gmail but still no luck getting my emails forwarded. Any suggestion?
