Help Yahoo mail suddenly stopped working!

All is NOT well again. If they had server issues, they should have admitted it. Instead, they sent emails to all their email accounts saying that each individual account had "been compromised." I changed my password, as required, and now I can sign in to my email account from a desktop computer, but they routinely deny access via my cellphone, even if I try to use the cell-phone browser instead of the app for mail.

Yahoo just doesn't want cellphone customers. So I say, "Good-bye Yahoo."

All WAS well when I posted what you are quoting over a MONTH ago. Obviously, I cannot be responsible for the validity of my statements for what has transpired since then. I am not able to see into the future. I wish I could though. ;)

They probably could have handled it better, but what you are quoting was referring to the fact that someone believed it was not a Yahoo problem at all, which was false. I do agree that there are still issues with Yahoo and their email servers because my friend has been having issues using the Yahoo Mail app again.

Same happened here to me.

I've just been going back through a bunch of emails and noticed one form Yahoo about upgrading to the new Yahoo mail system on the 17th July, with a comment that it would automatically upgrade in a months time i.e 17th August, this just happened to be the same day that the HTC mail client stopped working.

Anyway fix is to upgrade Yahoo Mail on web and re-enable POP mail (no charge or upgrade to premium services required). Then set up POP email for your yahoo address and away you go - all emails should then come back into your HTC mail client.

I have an HTC Inspire 4G. I started having problems with my yahoo mail, where it would only download about 10 new emails and the rest were from more than a week ago. I did the usual, uninstall, reinstall, type password 100 fricking times, etc. Of course nothing worked. So,here is what worked. I uninstalled again and then, I went into my yahoo account information (under your name at the top left of the page if you are in yahoo on a non mobile device), scrolled down to "sign in and security" and clicked on "manage apps and website connections" then click on "remove" for yahoo mobile. Then try re-installing the app on your phone.
