Help yahoo messenger app kills my dx

Everytime I open up the yahoo messenger app it literally makes my DX burning hot, drains the hell out of my battery, and it slows to a crawl. Shutting down the app only seems to help if it hasn't been open for very long and I normally have to do a complete phone restart to get it back to normal.

Anyone have any ideas about this? I appreciate any help!

Looking at the 5 most recent reviews it looks like you're not the only one having problems. You may want to uninstall it and using another client such as Hi Yahoo or Plaringo until the reviews improve.

Think you're right. The reviews were alot better for it at the beginning of last week when I installed it.

Even though it shows as being open, I have to shut it down and re-open it to get my messages. I had no problems until this week. I just downloaded Hi Yahoo.....kinda plain.

Yea... Hi AIM, Hi Yahoo, etc. are all rather plain, but they work.
