yahoo server problems

My wife just got her first android ( stratosphere ) and uses yahoo for her business emails. When she deletes her emails on her phone for some reason she says that her emails also delete from her (server ) PC when she checks in when she gets home. I do not have that problem with my emails on my Droid X ( yup time for an upgrade, but I still love that phone ). I tried to go into her accounts and see if there is a setting that would not delete from server but no such luck. Does anyone else have this problem, and if you have, is there a way to fix it so the emails delete from phone but not the server? Thanks for any and all help you can give me

I'm not familiar with your wife's phone but usually there is a setting to delete mail on server which she will want to untick. On my phone if I open my stock mail app and then hit menu.. and then settings, I will find variables to manage my mail on the phone and the server. I hope another with the Stratosphere can give you the specifics on the settings menu and how they are accessed.

Has she tried the Yahoo Mail app?

Maybe not the solution you are looking for, but it might be the easiest fix. I don't use yahoo mail so I really don't have a better answer, but I hope this helps.

Thank you to both of you your quick reply. I did go into her phones settings, but there is no provision for anything to do with the server. I have looked into the yahoo app, and the reviews, from what I read in the play store, were not very good to say the least. It may be an option to download it anyway and see if it is in there and try it. Again thanks for all and have a great weekend.

It was done automatically through the phone. I would have to assume that it would be POP 3. I have gone into accounts but I cant find that info. I have heard that if it was IMAP that something could be done to correct the problem, atleast that is what Samsung support told me.

only problem is that when I called Samsung a second time, the person on the other end said that nothing could be done...... sometimes I just wanna scream my lungs out!
