So for about 3 months I read up on how to do this while the method to get it done was changed after every update t-mobile made. Than I got lucky and made a friend who could root most androids. He hadn't yet done I t to the S5 though he was positive he could. 10 hours later my phone was rooted and it was great, now I could get rid of the bloat ware that drove me nuts. Now what? The reason I wanted to get this done was just too remove the crap, and now I'm sitting on a phone that can do more than I can think of to do with it.
I have to admit I'm a little scared of the phone now. I've read & heard multiple stories of custom kernels & apps that people flashed only to end up with a bricked phone. Unfortunately I am of a curious nature and can't stand not using my device to the fullest extent. Believe me this attitude gets me in more trouble than I am able to keep track of. With that said, I'd prefer to start small and gain more understanding of the lingo and what does what. Could you guys please suggest uses for my newly rooted time bomb, & how to go about it without turning my phone into a paper weight.
