Root Yet Another...

Rooting question thread! Ok so I just spent the last few hours reading up on this and I think I am ready to tackle it. Just a few quick questions before I begin. I have GB 2.3.5. At this point I am just rooting, what will I lose? Contacts? Apps? Anything? I'm mostly worried about my contacts I do have them backed up with google (I think) will I be able to restore them? I have most of my apps on the SD card already and will be moving my pictures to my computer. What else do I need to do before I start. I want to see how this whole process works first before I move on to flashing ICS or better. Honestly trying this scares the poop out of me but if it works I have heard its better than a new phone. Thank you in advance!

Be sure to back up all your contacts with your Google account.

When rooting you won't lose anything at all if your flashing yes you will lose everything as it wipes data so make backups of what you want
