Hey all....just got my first android handset the other day, htc droid incredible.

Coming from a BB storm 1 and 2 (which unlike most...i enjoyed). Bit of a learning curve but going well so far.

Been able to get answers to most of my questions browsing the many android forums, but currently my biggest problem is....i connect my phone to the computer and it doesnt seem to be recognized as a disk drive.

I just found this out myself. When you plug in the usb cord, a usb icon appears on the top bar of the homepage. Drag that down to get the usb connection widget. Touch that for a menu, look for "windows media sync or memory card access, or charge only, whatever suits your needs.

still trying to sort the pc connect issue...

also for some reason it wont let me set a seperate notification for email/text app's?

yup....plug anything else into the usb drive and it works....

and now it seems the phone will connect "sometimes"

this is soooo annoying. Why wont it connect?

Here's my gut answer and it's based on personal experience with the same problem. Everything else worked in the usb drive but my phone. The lappy's new. Sony sent someone down to look at it. First he replaced the usb drive. Nothing. Then, he looked at the motherboard. It turned out to be an issue with the motherboard. He replaced it and the problem went away. The usb charged and recognized my dx.

Do me a favor and PM me with your progress on this, as I probably won't be checking this post again. It's unusual that I would check an intro post twice, let alone three time. OK?
