The announcement (or total lack thereof) of the OTA being available typically pre-dates the general availibility of the OTA by around two weeks.

If you look carefully at the instructions you'll see references to VS840, and also when they show the upgrade running you see VS920V6B as the previous firmware.

I wonder if we can just use the PC software and get it now? I tried asking Verizon, but they don't even show that a update was approved Lol.

I'm working the night shift tonight so I can't test it.
Have to run the update software as admin, but my admin account at work doesn't have internet access so the software won't launch.

I've been looking at me emails and people are freaking out that they got the update. Just checked on my wifes phone and it looks like a no on our side but it's still Friday here. I'm guessing when it hits 12am the update will be released in the time zone. Mods if this thread doesn't belong please go right on ahead delete or move it.

welcome to the locked bootloader club. To bad that didnt stop motorola razr development. We might have to development a safestrap like app for the spectrum.

hopefully this is true. I returned to stock and will be checking for the update as soon as my battery is full enough
Are you 100 percent sure the bootloader is locked in the official update?
I believe it does.. Keep in mind the update should be released at 12am if not a lil sooner or later my friend got his razr ics update at 12am. My wife's spectrum hasn't got it yet it's 9:13 here so I gotta wait
Edit: from what I heard the tot file did so the update might...

My speedy had one and it was super easy but it had its on method.. Might be hard for us.
Isn't it ironic how we were all anxiously waiting for the update, and after reading this its like hmmm not sure if i wanna take it right away then, or at least until the dev's figure out a work around for this....
