Your thoughts on the 2.1v3 leak?

Anyone else having issues with their voicemail settings? I cant get into mine, its just greyed out and Im trying to put my password in there so I don't have to dial it. Other then that this leak is better then the first two, haven't had any issues so far

Ok thanks. I've got the 50% without signal, but I know how to fix it so no big deal I guess.
 
I never heard, is the internet problem fixed in this leak v3 where in an app such as World War or any app that accesses the internet it won't connect or there is an error? I haven't heard.
 
I'm annoyed that still in V3 I can't make the dail pad go away when first opening the "phone" app.

There is also a noticeable lag when trying to wake up the phone after it locks. Much worse than in V2.

Frankly I can't really see a whole lot of difference between V1 and V3 in the areas of the phone that I use.

So I took the phone off charge @ 7:45am, packed up and hit the road and by 10:30 it had shut down, no battery.
It used to work before 2.1v3 but of course it could be coincidence.

Just home now, and am pluggin her in.

Nothing subtle here.
I took the Sandisk 8gig card from my old BB Curve,(sniff,sniff), and put it in the droid and reinstalled the 2.1v3 with *228 1&2
While I have NO contacts or installed apps yet, the phone took a full charge and after 58m and 16s I'm still @ 100% battery. NO 50% bug and the battery is cool to the touch.
I haven't a clue why, but the battery drain seems gone and I have a seemingly nice clean install on my Eris.

Update: 1H 15m 100% battery.
I'm sold.

This version really helped my battery. This morning i took my phone of the charger at 8:50 to leave for work and at 3 when i got off i checked the battery 99% I was in awe, of course i didn't do any heavy using i just sent around 15~ texts and checked the phone for the time every hour or so.
 
Anyone know where I can get "quick app clean cache"? I'm running 2.1 v3 and it no longer shows up in the market. Thanks
 
I would have posted in app section but figured it was there in 2.1 version2 and now its not so not happy.......

Isn't that a paid app? If it is, telling you on an open forum would violate the rules and lead to banning, fires, floods, rain of toads and other nasty things.

I would just contact the developer and let them know you can't get from the market.
 
Alright, the only problem I seem to be having is with the browser.

1. Pinch Zoom, sometimes it works, most of the time it takes me 4,5,6 tries to get it to work.

2. When I clink on a link in my gmail to open a webpage, it pops up the browser like it should but then goes straight back to the email. I have to click it 4,5,6 times to get it to finally open the link. This is with all websites in email I click on.

Hopefully v4 will fix this.

I am going to post this in the 2.1v3 thread as well.
 
-My alarm went off this morning without any prompt for silencing it. I had to turn the phone off to stop it.

-Sometimes when I use 'home' to leave a running app, I get an HTC screen and the phone takes an extended period to repopulate my layout. When this happens, apps 'forget' their settings. Orientation pop-ups appear as if it was the first time the app was used. Also my inbox appears empty until I mess with it and the emails reappear.

-Some previously purchased apps are no longer available through the app store.


Snappier though. On 1.5, the phone menu was always tripping me up. This is fast.

Got it to work! I never did a reset after installing v3, thats what it needed!
 
Can anyone with the leak check the market for DoggCatcher. I paid for the app and would not want to lose it. Thanks.

the attached file was the most optimized (smallest apk footprint) version of 1.16 Swype a couple months ago. All images where optimized in photoshop, no help file images (they were removed), english only, no tutorial. (so you best know how to use swype lol for this version). Probably the fastest working version in the wild so far. I've got 6 versions i've played with so far all 1.16.

pulled the file from XDA before they vanished from all the share link sites.


Maybe i'll take the time to grab the custom skin from sh0ebox and integrate it with the micro optimized version.

I had that problem previously when I had Dolphin set as my default browser. I had to go back set Internet as my default browser instead, and now it's working as it should. (And I can still browse the web with Dolphin if I want to, but only by opening Dolphin directly, not by clicking a link in another program.)

So if you have a 3rd-party browser installed, maybe try changing the defaults and see if that helps.
 
I have noticed 2 things....

1- My calender does not sync properly
2- When I connect Bluetooth connection in my car it connects then disconnects. I have to turn my radio off then back on and it stay's connected.
