Help YouTube app doesn't work

Only the app. I can go through any of the browsers (stock, Firefox, Chrome), but using the app results in a message that video format is unsupported. WTF?

Any ideas? Verizon version if it matters.

I've been getting the same message but only very recently since the latest update. The only fix is to use the browser until Google issues another update hopefully fixing the problem.

Try uninstalling it the re install it again or you can go to settings application manager then go to all and look for you tube and clear data see if that resolve's your problem.

For the most part mine still works but here lately I've been getting the unsupported format message a lot- even on vids I've been able to watch previously with no problem.
Since I've not made any changes to my phone I know the issue lies on Googles' end.

Ah, ok. I grabbed my old Triumph and wi-fi and it didn't work well. Waiting for Google to straighten it out now.

hit up the modded youtube app from xda, enables hd over 4g/3g and screen off playback
