Help Youtube Crashing

I didn't have this issue before

But now it seems like almost all videos I load within the Youtube app cause the app to crash

Anyone else with a similar issue?
 
same here. it just decided to crash for certain vids all of sudden.
.also all my subscribed channel gone but web version works fine.

Anyone else?
 
Same here. Is this a YouTube app problem? Or maybe a YouTube server issues? I just updated to AOKP-M2 ROM yesterday. Flashing back to AOKP-build15 ROM just to check, because I know it worked there.

Edit: Flashed back to AOKP-build15, cleared YouTube data and cache, relogged in, and YouTube still crashes on "some" videos. Select the top video after searching "Hitler Tebow" and see if it plays to see if yours is broken, too.
 
are all of you rooted with a rom? if so you may want to post in the all things root section.

im on the milestone 1 rom and can play all videos. make sure you are logged into youtube.

or you can simple clear out the data and cache within the youtube app by the applications menu in settings
 
Ok so i got the phine yesterday and i love it so far, but when i go to youtube it force closes on me when I start to watch the video, did i miss something?
 
merged threads since they describe the same problem with the same app, hopefully a resolution will be found soon
 
it's a relief.. i thought it was just me lol.
I wasn't rooted when this happened, but I wanted to check by re-installing youtube.apk, so now i am rooted because of that -_-;;

it is real easy to unroot, and go back to stock, wugfresh has a program that will do it all for you

I use YT every day, sometimes more than once while I'm dropping the kids off at the pool.

It's never crashed on my VZW SGN. Weird.

edit: I'm 100% stock VZW
 
Mine didn't crash that I can recall at first prior to rooting or after rooting. Crashes I noticed yesterday and started a thread over on xda as well. I'm stock rOM just rooted but like I said I was good even rooted (which shouldn't matter anyway) until yesterday when I tried to watch some videos. I have the same problem on my Xoom running ics.

In case no one noticed, YouTube also doesn't show up in the market for ics devices...
 
Same here, same here. It keeps crashing since yesterdays whenever I try to watch a video or log in on an account.

Totally stock on my ICS tablet. Normally, I would just reinstall it but it seems that I cannot uninstall it.
 
I had this happen last night at the tail end of a vid. Not only did it crash, it rebooted the phone. Not sure if it was a one time thing, or something with the nightly rom I'm using.
