YouTube uploads compressed?

It appears that mobile YouTube uploads from my EVO are heavily compressed, even over WiFi. Is there a setting to change this, or an alternative upload app?

I'd also like to be able to upload over 3G since I don't have WiFi at home currently, just at work.
