when i open the youtube app it asks me to click on my account name then it freezes on the home page. help please.:confused:
 
Google apps, such as GoogleTalk, Market, etc, you should never uninstall. YouTube is not a Google app, and you can uninstall it without fear of harming your phone.
 
Then you are looking up the wrong thing or in the wrong place. Just look up "YouTube " in the android market.
I will post a link in a bit.
 
when i go into the settings of the market, it won't let me switch over to "show all apps". that's probably why it's not showing up in the market.
 
:eek:When i try to download it says "this item is not compatible with your device". And also, it is a google app. It says google inc under it where the developer's name for the app goes.

Try going to "My Apps" in the market and see if you can update YouTube. (menu button while in Market)

Hmm, did you delete it? Maybe you need an older version of YouTube for 2.1? Other than that, maybe try going to the Android market on a computer see if you can get it there, or as a last resort, flash back to stock.
