Root Z4 root issue - rooting phone again after fact. reset

OK...so i had to factory reset my DX because it was running slow and buggy and i wanted to find out what was causing it...I unrooted with Z4, ran a factory reset and then attempted to root again. Now, Z4 will will not root the phone...i've pulled the battery and done all the tricks that i know of and what was here on the site...it just sits there saying "running exploit in order to obtain root access...." and it won't reboot...

when i pull the battery and reboot myself, it goes into clockwork mod...can i just install a backup version that I have saved on my SD card? I'm concerned because the phone is technically not rooted and i don't wany to bjork the phone...

any help would be appreciated...

I know there's a couple versions of Z4 floating around (1.1, 1.2, 1.3). Make sure you are using the latest version 1.3. That's all I can think of besides SBFing and then re-rooting.

Um, which OS are you running/trying? Froyo 2.1, 2.2, GB 571, 588, 591, 595? That would help to know.
