Root Z4 Root issues

Is there plans for a new version of Z4Root in play? I have Z4Root 1.3 and although in the past I have been able to get the temporary root to work, as of lately I can not. I have tried flushing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling and still have the same problem. I run Z4Root and it looks like it worked but I don't have root access.

I liked having the ability to root when I really want to but now I am stuck.

I am not familiar with z4root other that a little info about it only being a temp root. Have you looked into unrevoked and getting permanent root?
