Root Z4Root upgrade working with Android 2.2.1?

Instead of using the current method of following a million steps to root the Optimus M 2.2.1 which includes loading a rom .bin file into the phone why not persuade the coder of Z4Root to simply upgrade it? For those thinking that downgrading to 2.2 to root is a good solution I ask: what will you do when 2.3 and 3.0 comes out (or any upgrade for that matter) with enhanced features? Will you stay with 2.2 just because you are rooted? I think it is just a matter of time until the root application developers catch up to 2.2.1 and later Android upgrades.
 
I am not positive, but I think z4root works on most phones that are 2.2.1. LG must have figured something else out and rolled it into their 2.2.1 update.

I think you are right because I read and saw videos of people who were able to use z4Root to root 2.2.1. Hopefully the developer of Z4Root and other rooting programs can make their stuff donation-ware so anybody who uses the program donates to them to support their efforts and keep the program up to date. I would be very willing to donate if someone could come up with a version that works for the LG Optimum M with 2.2.1.
 
I want root to everything I own. It is the principle, Sir. This is not Fischer Price. I did not buy a Speak and Spell. These companies seek to deny us our consumer rights! We paid for the stuff, we should have access. I will not be inconvenienced! :D I demand recognition of my consumer rights. Do you not?

That is easier said than done. The security hole that was used by z4root has been closed in android 2.2.1. It is not as simple as just updating an app. First you have to find a new hole.
