Root Z4Root

It looks like it would probably give you soft root (no s-off), but I have no idea if will work on the Evo or not. The description is a tad unclear, and who knows what with the newer software versions.

This will root your device with a button press. Permanent and temporary root options, as well as unroot support.

NAND locked devices such as the Desire and Evo do not support permanent root. Moment/Intercept do not support permanent root.

Soft root only. But nonetheless very interesting!

Yes... with only 50 downloads I wouldn't put too much into it.... but how the hell do you get 125 ratings with 50 downloads?

You don't. I think there was a bug with it in the market. People were saying yesterday that it was not longer available, but if you look now, it has 10,000-50,000 downloads, which probably didn't happen in 24 hours.

Barnes and noble color kindle seems like it might be cool if it was hacked and had an android ROM installed. I'm not sure how well the touch screen works. never played with one.
