Zeam - Home Replacement

Did you get the latest 1.2.2 version? I had to restart my phone after installation because it was slow right after install and setup. It's been running perfect and fast ever since.
 
Well I ran into a problem with Zeam today. My touch screen started to malfunction and go the opposite way and swype totally started to mess up. So I restarted the phone and started up zeam and it still malfunctioned. So I downloaded home switcher and switched back to sense and it all started working normally again...

Anyone else ever notice this?

This zeam has seemed to..umm confuse my phone a couple times...got a few force closes, the first couple times i hit the screens button it would fc..like 5 times...now its more sporatic...and a couple times it just kinda bounces around and then settles in..like it gets confused and doesnt know what to do...then it takes a deep breath and figures it out....
 
I'm thinking this app might have been made for 1.5 or 1.6, not 2.1. Because the google search widget is the way it used to be on 1.5, and you can't change it, not even going in to editing the apk. So I think that's why there are so many problems.
 
Get Zeam to allow htc widgets and I would use this all the time. Why is there not a home replacement with htc widget support.
 
Playing with Zeam for the first time, and definitely liking the responsiveness. But I love having the dock in Helix, so I'm not sure which to choose ...
 
I have to admit I like Zeam also. It is very fast. For all the people who want to change the number of screens. Press the Menu button, settings, number of screens. The max is 9 and you will have to reboot your phone for it to take effect.
 
i like zeam as well. Nice replacment for sure. I used helix before just because of the dock icons but I felt they were too small so i switched back to home and it was only a little laggy when switching screens. This is perfect for me.

yeah there are lots of us from ga i see will have to try this after i read more about is . saw a post earlier about zeam being a type of web parasite that attaches to email.
 
All you need to do to change the amount of screens you have is long press the screen, then go to settings. It is under Number of Screens.

I am so stuck in between this, and Helix. I love the dock on Helix. Frees up so much time. I had Handcent, Phone, Dolphin, Settings down on the dock. It was great. But I am finding that Zeam is a bit smoother... Hm... I will have to stick to this thread and see that you guys think. Someone make a baby of the 2? make the world a better place! haha.
 
I am giving this a try but not sure what the point of it is over the default android home apart from being able to change the number of home screens.

I couldn't agree more! I love Helix, but this has a little more fluidity to it. It's a little faster too, but I really like the doc on Helix as well. I vote for a hybrid (baby ;)) of the 2 as well!!
 
I have had issues with this one force closing on me...usually it is when i hit the screens soft button. and still have an issue with it stuttering and slowing down like it is confused from time to time..but this is MUCH better than Helix and Sense. I switched back to both of them today..and wow...so bad...switched right back again lol

I am having the same problem. I can get the dialer up but don't know how to get to voice command. If you have any idea how you got it running could you please help.
 
FYI- There is a new version of Zeam 1.2.4 and it's now in the market. If you install it will come as an update. I don't see much of a difference yet, but we'll see. I still don't see much of a difference between this and Helix, but I do like them both.

I know, I have the one form the market and the one posted on here like a week ago first. I actually posted a few above that the new one was on the market now, just wondered about a custom one and how you did it, are you rooted?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't even see you updated page one. I live the look of that, almost like Helix, is there a way you can mimic the dock that Helix has at the bottom? If you could you'd have a greatful nation, I love the new version of Zeam but really like the dock on Helix, as well as many others here.
