Zoom in camera?

[bamhm182]

If you're asking if the camera can zoom, I'm pretty sure it can't, but what you can do is take a normal picture, then crop it to the size you want. Basically the same, no?

More importantly the "zooming", is there a way to focus the camera? I see theres not touch to focus...

I miss being able to zoom as well so I'm looking into camera apps in the market

edit- zoom is not supported even with apps

Hold down the button to shoot and it will auto zoom.

Do you mean auto focus?

Digital zooms are crap anyways... Cropping would give you a better end product.

Zoom works on the Vignette app.

Zoom works on the Vignette app.

Its not a real zoom though, its just cropping. When the subject in the viewfinder is so tiny its hard to tell what I'm really taking a pic of. I want a zoom that magnifies what I'm aiming at on the screen for taking pics at a distance (like my son's soccer games).
