Help Zte avid Wifi Hotspot

I want to use my Wifi hotspot on my zte avid but currently i only have the $40 plan so i dont have that enabled on my account. I know theres any easy way to get around it through some 3rd party apps on the play store. But i forgot which ones work best and how to use it.
Thank you please help.

lol what? I have hostspot on mine. $60 a month plan for unlimited 4G. and a preinstalled 4G mobile hotspot

This phone does not support Mobile Hotspot, you can try with the third party websites but that might slower the phone performance. Please think before you are trying to do that.

Hmmm.... I smell something....

I downloaded beetmobile and that seems to work well. But before I installed that i used the preinstalled wifi hotspot app to see if it would work and it did it. First it said "please make sure you have this feature is enabled on your account" and then i pressed ok and it worked i turned it on. Then i went to my account to see if any charges were added to my account and their were none.:D

:) but remember that if u don't have unlimited 4G then whenever you go over a certain limit your 4G will drop to 3G for the remainder of the billing cycle.

I was able to get Wifi Tethering for Root Users to work with the profile Generic ICS/JB (wlan0) and setup-method of Netd (master). Though, I don't know if you would get caught using this.

I tried using this. But I only get limited connectivity. In fact, that's ALL I get when I use hotspot apps. My computer won't load webpages, can hardly open chats sent by friends through rockmelts imbedded facebook chat, and I can't even load up any of my mmos or such. Pinging via cmd yields timed out errors. Any idea what I could do to fix this?

try with ubuntu. i have the hotspot on my acct and i found that using windows i was never able to load webpages or anything else, i installed ubuntu and it picked up and loaded webpages fast. im not saying switch your os to another but its worth a try from a live cd or something to see if it will work any better on linux

For windows you need agent tool for your browser before setup hotpost if you have firefox search in addon menu agent and install that set mobile browser in the agent tool in your browser

I figured out how to use the hotspot on windows. I was using it before but I had to change the user agent in my browser to make it look like a mobile device. This new user agent string works as a FULL windows browser. I did it with firefox because its the only browser that i could get it to stick with. Follow the link below and scroll down to firefox. Follow the directions and then paste this user agent string:

Mozilla/5.0 (Ubuntu; X11; Linux i686; rv:10.0a2) Gecko/20111113 Firefox/10.0a2
