Root Zte b09 kernel

Im in dyer need of the zte kernel with the memory fix anyone have a link and does anyone know if the front facing camera will be upside down still
 
Shinjitsu or Awesome???

Awesome has the new kernel.

B09 rom is the only one for now with a working front camera.

Im on Shinjitsu and on awesome android my front facing camera is upside down that's why I went back but now the kernel on shinjitsu is eating my battery alive lol

Yeah I can't flash it because it's just the boot.img you think I may need to rename it or something and I don't even see it in cwm
Edit I don't think its a flash able zip
 
the kernel should work fine as is with every rom out except cm10. it will however disable overclocking and possibly a few other features depending on the ramdisk edits. and the boot.img can be flashed manually using the fastboot method
 
also for the sake of making things easier since i assume fastboot isnt even on your computer, take the zip from dtms serenity kernel, open it up using winrar or something (thats the zip program i use others should work) and replace the boot.img in there with the one you want, then install that zip with cwm
 
it might have something to do with the way shin has his camera apps set up. because the ramdisk is built into the boot.img. im not sure exactly what is doing it, but i am sure its in rom because that boot.img is the stock ramdisk and kernel

Idk what it is but crynodroid camera does the same thing
 
Hey Gus have u tried this kernel with awesome Android? I'm trying it right now and want to know if it is any smoother bc it seems to hold more memory so far but will report back

No I haven't, cuz Awesome is suppose to be using b09 kernel plus some tweaks from shin already.
 
This b09 kernel seems to consistently hold better memory than awesome kernel, I don't see a huge difference in speed but ram usage seems less
