ZTE Merit help please.

Help please. When I make a call I lose the dial screen. I can not use the center button to return to the screen. It makes a sort of vibrate when some one I call answers and the dial screen is gone. Therefore when I make a call and need to use the dial pad for a menu it is unavailable and I can not do anything except push the button at the top to turn it off.

Check out the ZTE AT&T Avail forum. That's where we have other Merit owners posting. Someone there may be able to answer your question.

I'm not sure but it sounds like a proximity sensor issue. When you hold the phone to your ear that sensor will make the screen go off. It should come back when you take the phone away from your ear. If you touch the screen will it come back on?

When I am on a call and need to use the screen to type in numbers, all I usually have to do is touch the screen and the key pad appears. Try this and let me know if it helped.
