Help zte n861 last zte update

Hi, a senior here, turned on my phone the other day and it went into a zte update, after it was done, it erased my extra internal micro sd card, erased a few apps, and now will not connect to my home router, will not allow me to enter my router code and wants me to enter a code into my router that the phone is giving me? I have had the phone for over 8 months with no real problems besides constantly turning off programs to save battery usage and the crashing once in a while which after I take out the battery and reboot all is ok. Help an old vet out! John:confused:
 
well, the internal card being erased is because of the fact that the "internal sd card" is actually just the data storage space, the same one used by applications and has to be wiped every time you install a new version of software on the phone in order for it to boot up. thats just how it works youll have to get used to it and start backing up and/or using the external sd

as far as the router thing i really dont know, that sounds more like a bluetooth connection than a wifi connection that would make you enter something into the router/connecting device. are you entering a wpa/wep passcode or the wps code? for wps to work you normally have to hit a button on the router, and i always recommend disabling wps, its always the same amount of numbers, and cant contain letters, stupidly simple to hack into
 
For the wifi problem, try going to wifi settings, press your options button, go to advanced, uncheck "Avoid no internet connections". One of my buddies had a similar problem with his sequent after the update and that is how i fixed his. Hope it helps ;)
 
i had the same problem with the wifi. mine just wont connect and says it has a poor connection, when all the bars are there. and the warp sequent does not have bluetooth, so no, that cant be it.
 
LMAO, you are trippin, the warp sequent, and almost every android device in existence has bluetooth. trust me, if anyone knows about the warp sequents bluetooth, its me

A huge thanks for this suggestion. Like the OP, I had the very same issues. Your Wifi fix worked for me!!!
 
they were stored on your internal sd then, the internal gets formatted whenever you factory reset which is a requirement to install a new rom. sorry, start using the external sd and always keep a backup of your internal storage through cwm just in case
 
I've a lot of customers complain about the new update. Sd card problem, prl problems, pictures won't download from texts.... This update has messed with the phone a lot
