Root zte update tool says no available updates

I am trying to unroot my sequent, I don't have cwm or any roms on it, just superuser. I have been able to do this before, but now when I try it and get through all the steps, it recognizes my phone and what software I have and then says no available update packages, and won't let me install the current software. Before I was able to do it and just restore my phone, has anyone else had an issue or know of a way around this?

everyone who has tried to use the update tool with b09 has this issue, it happens because once you update to b09 there is no update past that... my tool has unrooting capability use it

which is? I'm rooted as of now, but wanted to unroot and obviously can't do that.

junkie's Tool will unroot your phone. However, I am curious as to what your intentions are. If you are just trying to get b09 on your phone there are easier/better ways to go about it than using the zte tool. Example, use junkie's tool to install cwm recovery, then flash any number of roms including stock b09.

if you are still on b09 you can use junkies tool to unroot. If you are on b11 we are waiting for someone to upload an unrooted backup so i can make an unrooted stock rom. You will need cwm for that, and junkies tool will do it using the fastboot method.

hey super he can use your ics partition zip use the tool restore to bo7 then do ota b09 then do b11 ota the easiest way for me
he doesn't have cwm so he will need junkie's tool anyway to get that in order to flash it. At that point he may as well just use the tool to unroot ;) If he's on b09 that is lol

and it's been so long since I have rooted or anything I can't remember how to even do the fastboot method. When I try to use the tool it says that files can't be found, I know that I am doing something wrong.

1. If you are on windows, you should be using the c++ version of junkie's tool. The java one is still under development. Junkie's tool can unroot you since you are on b09.

2. This post explains how to set up your windows drivers to use fastboot http://androidforums.com/warp-seque...ide-checking-your-drivers-adb-connection.html

3. We still don't have a full unrooted stock rom for b11 or b09. I will make one for b11 if someone uploads their unrooted backup.

4. If you get cwm going you can flash this. Then the zte tool should see your phone as b07 and let you update to b09. http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23032113221600510

my tool should be able to unroot even on b11, its a very generic method. unrooting wont help install the update though

yes I know that it won't help install the update. I got b7 on there with the help of you and superr, but the b11 update is so damn slow, I hate their servers. i've been trying to download for awhile now, but I can't have my phone off for hours at a time right now. Yes that's how long it's taking, hours..... I also put CWM on there as well.

if you have cwm just flash one of the roms listed http://androidforums.com/warp-sequent-all-things-root/738401-rom-stock-b11-flashable-deodexed.html

edit: since you are trying to end up unrooted you could use the stock unmodified no root rom and let it replace your recovery when you exit out of cwm. Then you should be fully stock b11

Do you know FOR SURE that this will work?

The rom will work for sure, 93% sure the recovery will be replaced by stock if you use the unrooted rom and choose no when cwm asks you to fix recovery on exit.

It would be great if you report back after trying it out ;)

Well I ended up just going tot he zte software update, then that took me to b09 and completely erased everything, then while stock I upgraded to the b11 from my phone. Worked out just fine. I had deleted a lot of bloatware and stuff when I was rooted and I'm pretty sure that's why the update wouldn't work when I tried it before...

being rooted is irrelevant, whether its the update tool or the ota rooting makes no difference, not sure how you got it to work but that wasnt it. maybe you reflashed those partitions superr included in a seperate zip? that might very well solve any issues related to the update tool not working

I got CWM installed using the aio tool and flashed the partition updater. After that I was able to use the recovery tool and got o b09 and then update to b11 from my phone. Not sure what happened, I just know that it worked and that I'm not rooted anymore and have the most recent update. I was having a lot of issues with my phone and that is why I wanted to unroot and get the update. not sure if I'll be able to root again I haven't really read around to see if you can with the new update. I tried it with the AIO tool and it didn't seem to work, but that's ok, I really haven't been all that into rooting and everything that goes with it lately. Been too busy. But thank you for all of your help, it is much appreciated.
