ZTE Warp VS LG Marquee video

I noticed a bit more lag on the Marquee when switching home screens.
It does have a different processor(both 1ghz) but I did not think it would make that much difference.

Is the 1ghz TI OMAP 3630 really that much slower than the 1ghz Snapdragon 8655?

I would like some benchmarks.

I know it is the same as the Optimus Black but all the benchmarks for it are on Froyo.

I completely agree with you guys.......the extra $80 is a tad much to pay for the extras that I pointed out such as the USB trap door, brighter display, better speaker (a tad better), different USB location, button changes, LED camcorder, etc BUT they are a nice feature. I just buy all the new phones cause I like doing reviews on them plus I get "upgrades" for cheap :)

You know, I had planned on getting the Marquee this month, but after playing with my sister-in-laws, I'm not to sure. The Warp has spoiled me on screen size. And since I don't do video chat, and keep the screen brightness down around 11% to save battery, I think I'll pass on it. It's a nice phone and all, but not really worth the $80 extra.

please dont take this as a personal shot against you
but after all your rants about the warp i would have thought you would have been first to jump ship i do understand they were valid rants.
on another thought i have considered the possibility of changing my warp even tho i have had far less to complain about vs. others but im finding after playing with the ultra and lg to me the only thing they both seem to have over the warp is front face camera. warp runs faster and the touch screen is seems far more responsive, granted i only played with each for a short time and yes im biased towards the warp, still i found in using them things i do with out much effort on the warp frustrated me on the ultra.

I did not mean to imply that I would be getting another warp, which is not in my future. I was saying that after a hands on with the Marquee, I am not impressed with it.
Also, as in other threads, I have said that the warp does have potential, which it does.
As for jumping ship, since it is the phone that I do have and paid for, I will continue to try to get it working the best I can before shipping it back to its home on the 18th.

LG Marquese is slower than ZTE Warp, because only have 2 GB ROM while Warp have 4 GB.
Same: 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM

ROM size determines storage space not speed of the phone.
The 1ghz TI OMAP 3630 and 1ghz Snapdragon 8655 are not the same cpu.

I think Snapdragon 8655 is faster but not big difference, so you're right 4 GB vs 2 makes the difference.

Not sure what you mean by that. Both Marquee and Warp both have 4GIGs internal

check this out

Marquee VS Trumph. These phones have the exact specs. The difference is the processor/GPU.

Motorola Triumph (Virgin Mobile) v.s. LG Marquee (Boost Mobile)= Quadrant Standard Benchmarck Test - YouTube
and
Motorola Triumph (VM) v.s LG Marquee (Boost)- AnTuTu Benchmark - YouTube

Correction. The Marquee has a 4GIG ROM and the triumph has 2GIG.

Take a look to LG Marquee and I cannot conform where is the extra 80 bucks come from. HW configuration is low alittle(LCD size, half ROM,lower battery, etc.) than Warp with same OS.

Not sure if this a cure but i cleared the sd card, master reset, got rid of all live hd wallpapers, got rid of facebook app, installed apps like fast reboot, android assistant, one click clean, memory booster, etc..... since then havent had to many reboots for 2-3 weeks. It now runs better. Im always cleaning cache, ram on the phone now. These apps seem to help my phone.

Of the things you did, I only removed Facebook and keep the browser cache clean. I don't have reboots either.

Knoxville, thanks so much for posting this video review. I have been trying to decide on a Boost android phone to upgrade from my existing Prevail, and this video has been a huge help.
