ZTE ZMax - MP3 playback pausing intermittently?

Playing MP3 files from my SD Card, I get intermittent pausing.

It happens a few minutes after a song starts to play and if I hit the Power button for a second to display the lock screen, playback resumes.

I timed when it happens, but there is no pattern.

I have tried the Google player, Volume+ and Equalizer+, all with the same results.

I also tried remounting the SD Card, which played MP3's without issue on my previous two Android phones, and LG Motion and an LG Spirit.

Perhaps I will try moving some MP3's locally to see if the issue persists, but it might be an issue with the device or the firmware.

Anyone else?

Note: Resolved this issue by installing "MP3 Player" from "Accountstudio" in the PlayStore.

I actually experienced this today while riding a bus.. maybe a bug

it has happen to me as well, i thought it was my bluetooth headphones. but i see it aint...

Yeah happens from time to time.

I ended up disabling both mp3. Downloaded one from app store. Works a lot better.
