Root ZTE ZMAX TWRP NEW VERSION 2.8.6.0

as always you killed it hroark, how did you manage to get past the bootloader lock though? i assume it has something to do with the apk but if the bootloader is locked on here like it is on the zte speed i could really use your help getting past it on the speed, android 4.4.4 and that reboot command you came up with worked like a charm to make system writable and root a click away, just cant for the life of me make it launch a damned recovery

The bootloader on the zmax wasn't locked. It only had the system write protection.

ah... well shit. is there anything special about the img files that would cause you to not be able to unpack and repack it with standard tools and have it boot? i just downloaded a random unpacking suite i lost all my dev stuff with a hard drive failure. and when i dont change anything, unpack, repack, wont boot.... also if i back up with some apps it wont either, flashify backup works fine. i assume locked but maybe theres something else?

newbie here , I installed the zte zmax twrp then pushed the install recovery button and got error : Failure Error running exec().Command:[su,-c ./data/user/0/com.eclipse.android.razr.bootstrap/files/surunner.sh] working Directory:null Environment:null .
So someone please tell me what I did wrong . Thank you
