Root ZTE ZMAX TWRP NEW VERSION 2.8.6.0

So freakin awesome man thank you id buy youca $50 beer but im a bit slack on money due to getting divorce....but trust me on this i will sort you out when i get some cash..thank you so much bro.

you should be able to edit that bmp pretty easy, the bmp for the splash has to be upside down for some reason

that is if you have pacrom installed

that wont work with stock rom

stock rom would be

adb push twrp.img /sdcard/
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery

In this case butternoob would be considered stock also. The custom ROMs that hroark13 built have a permissive kernel that allows you to execute adb commands as root without first having to type "su" (without the "" of course).
The stock ROMs use a secure kernel which requires adb to request root first. Butternoob uses the stock kernel so what he said about having to type "su" applies to both stock and butternoob.

That restored TWRP, I pulled the recovery img from the twrp apk for the phone. Remembered using the "dd" on some old phone to install the recovery.

I need to change the partition mount points to match another phone. There is an existing TWRP for the phone already.
No one has fully rooted this phone yet. I have temp rooted it many times already, and can move/modify/replace the stock recovery.

So I downloaded the Twrp to my device and it won't let me click reboot recovery and I downloaded it a few times
