If you never rooted your phone or installed twrp on it and it won't work then what you need to do is get it replaced unless of course the 1 year warranty has already run out.

A phone can be factory unlocked without root access. If you didn't root it and you bought it new, then simply send it in for warranty replacement. If you did root it yourself, and you installed a custom recovery please tell us what you did before you started having this problem
