Yes you can. Any of the available recoveries will install this rom fine though as far as I know. I recommend using this one because it can also flash radio fine.

So I just read through the forum, I do like this rom, however. It has issues with the GPS. Was there something that was cut that causes the GPS to fail? To explain, any time I'm using maps with this rom it'll be able to map where I am, however, it doesn't keep a constant GPS connection and will fail to navigate when I need it to. Any fix for that?

There should be no issues with GPS. LGTeleService controls GPS and Phone services.

I actually had this same problem with this rom.
Idk what I did to fix it but I used fastergps and GPS status to reset my GPS and download agps data.

What img? You can flash the recovery using Fashify...and to flash this rom I recommend CWM recovery.

Its a post floating around somewhere. Sorry for not including the link I'm not at my desktop. I have the philz recovery on my phone but if I use flashify and select recov it flashes my whole phone? I have no bootable ROM so there's some issues still. No clue why. I tried putting it in your zip as recovery.IMG but it didn't flash. I still have CWM as my recovery. The philz is VERY nice but its broken still. It would be cool if you could make your ROM comparable with both. I don't know what this involves or if anyone has made a fully working version of philz that you can make the default but it would really breath new life into this.

It's not a matter of making the rom compatible with philz... It's a matter of fixing philz. Just putting the recovery img in the rom won't make it flash. It has to be added to the installer script. In my experience, recoveries aren't included with ROMs as it's expected that you have a custom recovery by the time you are flashing a ROM in the first place. Also, not all recoveries can restore all backups, so you could kill someone's safety net if you replace their recovery, then if something goes wrong with the ROM install, they're screwed.

Yes it will. I am able to access 4g data with it at least. Just make sure to correctly flash the radio.

edit: cant find any radios posted anywhere and i have read a lot of threads, can someone point me in the right direction for the latest boost mobile radio?

root has been acheived through root master on the pc in the zv4 update. for whatever reason i had lost root access after updateing.

i havent been able to get any of the ir remote apps to work with the phones ir sensor, its like the ir sensor it locked to only work with the app provided by the manufacturer, but when i installed the supposidly correct app for allowing the qremote to work it says cant find licenced provided on phone 103

I would love for this feature to be added back as well, since it seems to be the only way to use the IR emitter.

You don't necessarily need a zip file to restore the remote. Just get the apk packages to the following apps and placed them in the /system/app/ folder. The apps needed are:
UnifiedEULA.apk (com.lge.eula)
LicenseProvider.apk (com.lge.eulaprovider)
QuicksetSDK.apk (com.uei.lg.quicksetsdk.lite)
Quickset.apk (com.uei.lg.quicksetsetup)
LGQRemote.apk (com.lge.qremote)

Oh my. I was gone for quite a while, wasn't I? Someone inform me about the current status of our lovely device? I heard that ZV5 was a thing. I'll work on making that close to this. I'm sorry I was gone. My phone got stolen, I got presented with the option to move over to T-Mobile on the M8. I'll continue to make ROMs for this device...I've learned what NOT to remove in CDMA ROMs. Oy vey, CDMA is a pain....
