Root ZV4 Flash Problem

Tweeqit2

Newbie
So I downgraded my phone to ZV3 to get root back using the LG Flashtool method, that works great. After rooting again, I tried the flashify method and the laf method to install CWM, CWM-Touch, and TWRP...they all seem to work...I have tried flashing ZV4 with all 3, only CWM-Touch and TWRP were able to flash as the bump CWM could not mount my sdcard. After letting it boot I notice my radio is not working (red x) and now see that in software info my Baseband version is "Unknown". So I flash the updated radio from recovery, same thing baseband unknown...tried ##UPDATE# and ##72786#, nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having the same problems and have tried the recovery in the above post. I flashed it using flashify on the ZV4 Updated Stock ROM. I also notice I could not read from my internal sdcard to flash the radio.zip. I had to use adb to sideload the zip file. Not sure if this makes a big difference. Also I noticed the radio.zip flashing always mentions:
"qcom.install_radio: no sbl1.mbn in package"

Just to make sure, my CWM is version 6.0.3.7 which I hope is the one I just flashed (cwm1_bumped.img) or something weird is going on. I've tried most of the other recoveries as well but could not get radio and sometimes the 'choose zip from sdcard' from different CWM's to work.

Thank you for whoever may look into this.

Try using cwm through the fastboot method and see if it makes a difference. It shouldn't, but I don't know what else to suggest. No one else seems to be having issues with cwm.

Ok finally got the radio working after I started from scratch.
1. Did a full restore from DL Mode to ZV3 Stock
2. Rooted with towelroot
3. Installed flashify from Play Store
4. Flashed cwm1_bumped.img (renamed recovery.img just in case) and loaded into CWM
5. ADB sideloaded eduardog's debloated rom
6. Did a factory reset in CWM
7. ADB sideloaded chainfire's SuperSU, radio.zip
8. Dialed ##SCRTN# and ##UPDATE# (restart after each)
9. LTE and radio appears at the top with the radio baseband appearing properly

I am not sure why I had so much trouble before but going from a keep clean slate helped. Using too many other recoveries may have contributed to my problems. Also I had to use ADB sideload because the CWM would not mount /sdcard/. I am not sure if an external sdcard is required for it to work but I am using CWM without one. Thanks for whoever helped with this issue. :)

Nice, I will try that.

*edit*
It worked! What a pain in the ass but those steps finally did it. Thanks Blueness_

Yes, you have to have an external SD.
