If you are just flashing the radio onto ZV4, do you answer "Yes" or "No" when asked to fix root on CWM recovery prior to reboot?

This is not the zv5 ROM, this is just the radio image. No real way to know what a new radio does. Usually they try to improve connectivity and signal strength data speeds and such

If it's not a huge pain in the ass to do, could you give a quick tutorial on exactly how the various files needed to be manipulated in order to create a flashable radio .zip from the OTA update? I'm dangerously close to being throttled, so I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary downloading. Since Boost was nice enough to force my phone to D/L a 213MB update, I figured this would be a good time to try to learn a bit about the process.

I tried creating a .zip including the radio image and META-INF folder that I extracted from the OTA, but attempting to flash (with TWRP) it only yielded an error message about the updater script binary. I'm assuming there needs to be some edits made to the files in META-INF?

Hating to be a pain, but the download link is not working again. :(

(Edit - I figured out that if I use ##873283#) I don't need this.) :)

But - just in case someone else does...the link is down.

Just so you know, radio.img is just another archive with other partitions in it that get flashed to the phone. It's not the actual modem (so I don't understand why they would call it that), the modem is non-hlos.bin.

There is actually a NON_HLOS.bin file in the radio image if you open it. There's also a bunch of other crap in there too. I think most of the other stuff is boot and resource management stuff so I guess that has to be updated with the new radio.

That just updates the PRL. The radio image is totally different type of file.

Just curious... Anyone try flashing the ZV5 radio image with TWRP yet? Can this be done through Flashify? Has anyone tried?
