Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

lol you aren't seeing things. i inverted the signal strength without inverting the background bars for null wifi. it works nicely.

Wasn't sure if it was intentional or not. It's a strange effect, but cool.

Something else interesting, I've been using G3 to apply the ATT icon set... It doesn't override the Wi-Fi icon, but it does override the cellular signal icon, and GrBox overrides the battery fine, although I like your battery and have turned that off.

Oh yeah, just an FYI, I've reodexed the system with Lucky AppManager and everything is still working fine. :)

But does not weigh heavy on internal memory? because I've had a few phones in the past that when I text all the apps I couldn't install anything else into the system.

Here's my storage situation. Odexing did eat up a little more system space, but not that much...I imagine there would more impact if I wasn't so heavily debloated. I only have 110 system apps (there's a few more I could remove too), 5 of which I added in myself. There's also a backup copy of the systemui.apk and a keyboard I was trying to get working sitting in there.

I've only odexed the system apps. Didn't really see the point of odexing the user apps.

there is a partition resize mod for the G2 to get more space out of the system. it pretty much resizes the system partition to give more free space for apps. i would need to get info from the devs on our devices set up so we dont end up with lg coasters instead of lg volts...but the mod looks pretty straight forward in what it does. i think we could free up a good bit of useable space.

I am going to incorporate G2 Tweaks and Xposed in to settings. They wont show in the launcher, will be accessible from settings.

Am running in to one oddity...but I think its due to a featureset.xml change I made earlier..in screen you can see that both data lte and GSM are active at same time. That just isnt possible as we do not have gsm. I do not think its related to my settings changes..any way heres an early screen of the addition of tweaksbox.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Got the mod done all except a bug caused by decompile/recompile incompatibilities not related to mod but have a fix in mind for that. basically whats happening is apktool is not recognizing style changes lg has in the rom. so it spits out a compile failure. its two inconsequential xml files i should be able to just copy back in after removing their line failures so the apk will compile...pretty much add in style info so we get a compile without errors...after compile put back the correct unedited xml. for now it causes an error changing screen time out value in settings. pop up dialog related. but still runs. i just used the quick toggle to set to 5 minute interval. see screen for additions.

xposed and g2 tweaks.

Oh i just realized that this is different from the settings menu i have now. Looking at this reminds me of the Epsilon Project when I had a Moto G

@Curtis1973 Thank you so much and all that you are doing. I'm loving this rom. A good Christmas Present for me lol. Can't wait to see what else you have in store. Keep up the good work. Also I download Gapps 4.4 stock and while rebooting it got stuck at the LG screen? Don't know what I did wrong, like google play store tho.

as it stands you guys should be able to just flash the new settings apk without full rom.
Thank you for your hard work during this festive season. I hope I say this on behalf of everyone who uses your build that we are more than enjoying the constant dedication you show too for this community. We are proud to be your Project Testers. And a Merry Xmas to you.

Thanks, the only one that worked for me was the Gapps 4.4 full, weird. Also where do I get the settings apk update. Is it updated in the rom or no?

I am having way to much fun to quit now. I would and HAVE done it on forums all alone. The HTC One V...here on android forums before the One V took off like a rocket on xda. Posted all to my lonesome over here until some of the people over at xda noticed me ocer here pluggin away and said damn bro....you need to come over here lol...I am glad you all enhoy this stuff also. Makes it all the more enjoyable. I am going to share this LGSettings.apk as a xmas gift. It's not fully done and has the screen timeout settings bug, recent apps clear all button image bug and brightness slider slider image bug that needs fuxing which I will do in the morning. But this will give you all access to g2 tweaksbox and xposed from settings. The launcher does not hide the apps natively yet because I have bot decompiled those apks and edited the manifests not to show them up in launcher so that will have to wait.

just posted it above. not flashable. copy it to system/priv-app in recovery using twrp file manager then reboot

Spent all day just trying to rebuild systemui and settings from multiple failures in apktool. it has slowly corrupted the apps with each new edit until they fail to build completely. apktool is caching and keeps going back to the cache mixing old data in with new and corrupting everything. lesson learned. clear all caches for apktool after each compile. anyway i did resolve the bugs with settings and have fully ported the g2mini systemui. all seems to.be working well. i want to let things run for a few days of real use to see if any bugs pop up with lgsystemui.apk. other then that looks good.

Settings crashes when I try to open xposed or g2 without having the apps installed. Is this how it's supposed to be?

How hard would it be to have it only list xposed in the settings? The way I've had it is to hide all the modules and just leave the xposed app visible and access everything through that.

No volt tweaks or xposed in settings tab view? I really liked your colored status bar icons, how would I change these with out changing anything else?

With this new systemui a volume slider has appeared in the notifications panel. How do I hide it, and why isn't there a brightness slider? I never had any sliders a available before, so yeah, cornfuzzled. O.o
Nvm...I figured it out, lol.
