Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

I removed QRemote due to lack of real tv support. Why they bothered for such limited support is beyond me. But I am looking at a possible QRemote mod I saw on xda that might hold some promise that has more tv support. I have a workaround for getting rid of the zv6 update nag download at least until they push a useless zv7 or whatever they'll call it update. Will post it tomorrow.
 
I understand the qRemote is rather limited, but those of us (well, me at least), who can make use of it would like it to be there since there is literally no other way to make use of the IR blaster. If you can get a better option working, that'd be great, but I would respectfully request at least adding the original back in. I haven't had any luck adding it myself, although I'm pulling it out of an odexed ROM backup, so I don't know if that can even be done. I'm going to install the deodexed zv5 ROM and make a backup of the apps I need. Hopefully that will work.
 
I dont mind readding it. Interesting find though...google play has a "qui" quickset app that may allow us to get extra support. I cant get the download to finish. Anyone wamting to download it and either replace your quickset sdk apk with it or just install it and see what you get can give it a try. Search for "quickset" on play store. The app icon is identical to our quickset sdk app set.

Well i was trying to add the remote into qslide (already have the qremote in app drawer - /system/app). What folder does com.lge.remote.apk go into? It was in other ROM at /system/cust/overlay, but we dont have that location now. Was also going to add (after downloading it) qTranslate, but need location too

How did you add it? Just copied it out of the Deodexed zv5 ROM and dropped it in system/app along with the QuickSET apps. Also put a copy in priv-app. It just opens and immediately closes.

I put the qremote in /system/app and set perms to 644 then rebooted, i tried the com.lge.remote in /system/priv-app - but still doesnt show up in qslide.
 
Ok I uploaded the build.prop fix for zv6 updates to stop download of the update and its nags to install. Please read the bottom of original post for my suggestions and instructions to add the new build prop. Thanks all.


Edit: Will either just incorporate this in new rom upload or go all zv6 next go around. But for now should end the nags until I can get everything together and uploaded.

I see, don't tell me stuff. :p

Qremote wasn't in Qslide, it was in the main toggles bar, where it is now. Is it not working with that?

I also didn't grab those other apks...probably where my issue lies.

UPDATE: It's working now after adding the other apps. It's also working with the notification toggle, although it looks a bit off center with the altered pixel density. :)

Ok all. Got two packages ready to upload in the morning after I get home. First package includes ZV6 Update Buster,Hash's Adreno mod,Set Of Gapps and Xperia Z3 Keyboard. The second package is all of the above minus Gapps for those that dont want google apps. Will edit OP to seamlessly reflect these additions. I appreciate all of you giving great feedback and help. Makes the whole thing fun. Thanks all :)
 
And thank you to Unforgiven for keeping these slugs on their toes around here!!! LOL!! You guys keep things running smoothly. I know. I once had an encounter with El Presidente that ended fair enough with a slap on the wrist many many moons ago. Was treated fairly and gained a lot of respect for AF in the process.
