ZVD Problems

I guess I should have waited before I updated to ZVD but here are just a few of the recent problems I have had since switching.

The largest by far is rebooting; this is now happening 4-5 times per day, even in the middle of a phone call

Sim card not recognized; happened after a random reboot, rebooting again fixed it but still very annoying.

Battery magically died. Battery went from full to not turning on in less than 3 hours; this only happened once so far but incredibly unusual.

If anyone else is having these problems please join in. I am going crazy waiting for a ZVD ROM but am seriously considering sending the phone back to metro in the mean time.

Before you updated to ZVD were you Rooted??? Also after you did the update did you do a Factory Reset from Setting/Privacy and then checking the Internal Memory wipe and factory reset the phone.

Had you always had the random rebooting issue:confused:

Sorry to hear about that man. I've always had ZVB and honestly I've only had the random reboot issue like once a month. Maybe that's why I haven't upgraded yet but ZVB does take my phone a while to start up. But I'm pretty sure ZVD should've fixed that issue. Rooted or not rooted, if it keeps happening, either downgrade or take it to corporate. The thing about corporate is that they might have very limited in stock since the connect has been released for some reason. Idk why it's like that but it's definitely worth the shot. Good luck :)

I did but on ZVB it only happened maybe once every day or two.

:mad:ZVD was supposed to be the final fix for that issue. Guess not:mad:

I am going crazy waiting for a ZVD ROM

^^LOL..hopefully soon as they are in the works:D

A bit of time required(about 1 1/2-2hrs) but could always downgrade and stay there or go down and up to D again as this would wipe everything. Of coarse would have to reroot after the update again.

There are indeed handing out Connects or the Attain on replacement claims

You should downgrade to ZVB and upgrade again to ZVD.
Honestly, for me ZVD has been great!

Or try this: http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/519485-stock-zvd-how-noobs.html not sure if it will work, but you should give it a try before downgrading. If you do :)

+1. my current phone (3rd esteem) also had reboot issues & ive been dealing with these annoying reboot problems since november & this ZVD update hit the nail on the head for me, NO REBOOTS at all. im suprised your having problems. i was rooted before updating, didnt factory reset anything, didn't erase anything, & i have no problems whatsoever. take it to a corporate store & see if they can help if not just get a replacement phone. sorry about your reboot issues, i know how that feels, trust me.
