I recently bought a used Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro phone, mostly because of the large sensor of the main camera (1/1.33").
I need this phone for mobile film making and for shooting videos.

The problem is this: When I enter Pro Mode for shooting 4K or 8K video via the Xiaomi camera app, and when I manually set all the necessary settings (ISO, Shutter Speed, White balance), the exposure still changes if I pan the camera from light to dark (makes the dark areas even darker!). This drop in overall brightness should not occur when the exposure is fixed manually. Any fluctuations in exposure are unacceptable, given that every setting is manually set to a fixed value.

- The problem occurs not only with the factory Xiaomi camera app, but also when I am using third-party video shooting apps such as mcpro24fps and MotionCam.
- The problem also occurs when using both the Wide and the Ultra Wide cameras.

This suggests to me that the issue is not caused by the apps or by the cameras, but is most likely caused by some bug in MIUI and/or Android.

What do you think is the cause for this problem?
How can I fix it?
Should I downgrade to an older MIUI and/or Android version?
Or should I root my phone and adjust some setting?

I am currently running:
Android 12
MIUI Global 14.0.1

It seems RAW is enabled only in their "PRO" mode, but that has no auto exposure so each time needs to be tweaked.

This is really dumb and hard to believe it was intended.

3rd party apps I could find do not support the three cameras it has. For example Open Camera (which I used for years on the S10E, but after some OS or app update it became unreliable) can do RAW anytime but does not support the x3 optical zoom.

If there was an "get auto exposure" button on the PRO mode, that would be a reasonable solution, but I can't see one.

The camera is really good. I also had a Canon G7X Mk 2 which went on Ebay after I got the S23 because it was hardly better.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and I have an install from Huawei (Huawei Health) that is being blocked by AntiVirus because it didn't come from PlayStore. Despite allowing the browser to be excluded from checking in Settings I'm still receiving the same message. How do I get around this?

So, something changed on my phone or google maps and I didn't do it.
I'm guessing an auto update of Google Maps or Samsung now has my google maps directions playing on my car audio.
I've always had bluetooth on my car/phone but in the last month or so this started.
What could have changed that is now causing GM to do turn by turn directions on my car audio?

Still having this issue randomly. Even with a Z Flip 4. Eventually texting breaks, and all messages stuck 'pending' with the toast message being in the thread title showing. In each case, I have full bars of either 5G+ or LTE+, and data and calling works. I just lose SMS. I'm not alone, as multiple Samsung phones I've owned sporting OneUI do this, and my girlfriend recently had this happen to her A52 5G as well. I prefer the Samsung SMS client overall since you can use custom wallpapers, and it being departed from Google, so I'd rather not change it. The only solution so far is to completely reboot the phone. Unfortunately, doing this also corrupts a lot of my custom widgets and I have to remove and re-add them or they show 'problem loading widget' so that simple reboot equates to an hour plus of reconfiguring my home screens. Has anyone else had this issue recently? Calling Samsung is useless, as they are like any form of modern 'tech support' aka automated crap with very bad at English Indians who think the solution to all the world's problems is 'have you turned off yer dewice and turned it back onnn?'

The company I work for has setup Zero Touch which works with Intune. We are running into some issues on the phone setup side. Does anyone have experience with using Zero touch and Intune? Or know of a site that offers assistance?

I bought the correct Samsung-branded USB-C to HDMI cable in order to mirror my phone screen and audio on the TV at my AirBnB while on holiday. I used this successfully on both my Galaxy Note 10 and my Galaxy Note 8 - audio and video both worked. That TV was a Smart TV, but not a Samsung. Now I'm back home with my non-smart TV, and the cable works fine with my Note 10, but I can't get audio from my Note 8. The screen mirrors fine, but when the HDMI cable is connected, there is no audio from either the TV or the phone itself. When I switch to Samsung Dex, the audio does come through the phone, but not through the TV. The problem is that I can't resize the app to fullscreen when using Samsung Dex, so I'd rather just use screen mirroring. Any solution as to how I can get the audio to work? Thanks.

I have a Hipzo android radio #34523489 with a backup camera. When I put it in reverse I get a 9 diffused picture. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I have changed three cameras and the same problem.

We're traveling to Europe (Germany and Prague, specifically) and I'm wondering about what the best option is for my phone (or our phones) all on ATT. I'm specifically curious about my phone (S22 Ultra) but if you have thoughts on these other, lesser phones (3 iPhones). I can use wifi calling but then I'm 100% limited to areas with wifi and cannot text. Should I opt for the $10/day international plan? What about another European SIM, something to consider? Or is there another option I should be considering?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is there a way to copy your old phone setup (I'm talking everything - settings, files, apps, apps settings etc,) when setting up a new android phone?

I got a rooted Samsung galaxy s10+ and went on to unroot it and flash stock firmware using Odin. After flashing, when I insert my simcards, it is able to identify the simcard providers but when I try to make calls, it says not registered on network. When I go to setting and simcard status it says the following:

Network: Emergency calls only
Mobile network state: Disconnected
Service state: out of service
Mobile voice network type: UMTS

How do I fix this? Please help

I have a Galaxy A51. The media volume has recently started lessening through phone speakers like when a notification comes in, although there is nothing there. All media I've tried is affected. It lessens up to 3 increments even though the slider and settings all say volume is maxed and don't change. I used to listen to my phone from other rooms, now I can barely hear it while holding it at chest level. Bluetooth and regular headphones are uneffected.
I have restarted the phone, cleared caches, everything is up to date, I've deleted other apps that have recently updated, I've tried safe mode, I've checked volume limit (and tried to set the limit to max), and left the phone off for extended periods of time. This is quite frustrating.

I've been using Tetrd for about a year and LOVE it! Ramencoder has done an awesome job.

I ran into a wall today, though. Tetrd stopped working after I applied windows update KB5032189 just now.

When I plug in my USB cable, the Tetrd app doesn't show up on the phone so that I can connect like it normally does. Instead Windows Explorer shows shows up on my laptop showing my phone, and then this message appears (I'm guessing from the server).



No matter what I do, the server always shows "No devices". I've done the obvious trouble-shooting steps with no luck.

Help! I whittled down my hotspot data to the minimum, I need to stay connected for work, I'll run out soon.

Anyone having the same problem? Any ideas?

I bought a Samsung galaxy s10 e refurbished with snapdragon processor on ebay 2 years ago.I didn't have phone signal in my city and phone would only work if wifi calling option was on and I was connected to wifi,if I was in another city it'd work
A week I changed phone isp and got new sim but it only works in 2g mode and I have to go outside for it to work for example I have to go to the balcony for it to work.
If I enable 4g and go at the balcony It shows vol lte and lte,I have signal but people can't hear me when I call and I also don't have data connection even if it shows lte with 4 or 5 bars of signal
I can only make calls when I change the phone options to use GSM 2g only
Everything else about this phone is perfect and I don't want to buy a new one but if I can't fix it somehow I'll have to do that.
Any ideas what to do?I have watched a lot of YouTube videos even contacted isp and followed the steps they gave me and it didn't fix the problems

As you can see, there's no double tap to wake feature in the settings on my phone (only double tap to sleep) but in setedit (both in secure and system tables) double tap to wake =1. Is there a way to activate it?

I love college basketball and my favorite team is the Kansas Jayhawks... duh. Early polls have them ranked #1 which means nothing. Tonight they travel to play #17 ranked Kentucky Wildcats. It should be a good game that will be on ESPN in a half hour or so. I also root for my local university, Wichita State U, where I was a sysop on their BBS years ago and where my kids went to college. OK, this was just a catch phrase but it did say it. Suddenly my Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is saying incorrect or bad charging times. It said "8 hours 12 minutes to fully charge at 19%" I unplugged and plugged back in "1 hour 55 minutes" I click the lock screen on and off "3 12 minutes until charged".

What could be going on here? the cable or phone or a glitch?

I have odd GPS issues cropping up. While walking the dog I used to use Fit, Google tracking, just to get distance and time. I would put the phone in my back pocket upside down (yeah, I know the gps sensor is at the top) and it has tracked well for a couple of years. As of about a month ago it stopped registering any GPS data unless I held it in my hand. I tried the same thing with Strava and had the same result.

I do notice however, that I can get a Strava map if I put the phone in my back pocket right side up. But the maps all seem to be very badly drawn, not reflecting my walking path very well at all. Even when running, using my Garmin gps watch around a track, the loops around the track are not nearly as well formed as they were several weeks ago.

It is almost like the GPS signal has somehow gotten weaker. I did clear the Google Maps cache from my phone, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Any suggestions of what else i could try?

Hi, I work in a technical assistance department and I'm still specializing in software, a week ago an S9+ sm-g9650 android 10 binary came in, the customer brought the cell phone here because she ended up forgetting the screen password, when I went to format the cell phone through recovery mode, the factory reset screen did not appear, since there was no such option, I downloaded the stock rom of the cell phone G9650ZHU9FVF2 and tried to install it via Odin and via SamFW Tool, but both software gave an error and a message appeared warning that the cell phone it was in mdm, I already tried to download cm.tar.md5 and install it in the AP part of Odin but it also gives an error and MDM remains blocked, I already tried to enter Brom mode to use ST-MTK Universal but it is not recognized in Chimera Tool! I don't remember when it was, but after a reboot it went from being a standard password to a password of letters and numbers with the following phrase "Your phone is encrypted for security. To initialize the device, enter your password." What do I do? I don't know what to do anymore!

I have a customer's phone with a totally black and unresponsive screen, but the phone is on. I get the notification sound on my pc when I plug it in and it shows up as an empty drive because it's not signed in.

Smart switch sees it, but complains about no usb transfer mode and the phone beeps telling me it sees smartswitch, but no response to tapping around on the black screen.

Picture a running computer with no monitor attached.

This person has some audio files that they desperately need to recover.

No SD card, no cloud backup, no backup at all of any kind and no way to control the phone in any way that I know of.

If there's no way to do it, just tell me that please and please don't offer solutions that the strangling limitations I've just noted have already ruled out. I've been researching this for an hour.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.
