I bought a new RedMei phone in 2022, just before I left China (yes, poor planning on my part). It is not compatible with any services in the US, but it is still a good micro computer - can play movies, use wifi to access the net, etc. Recently I have read of the possibility of "time bombs" or "bugs" being hidden in Chinese phones, routers, etc that can be access remotely to shut a device down. I would like to know if it is possible to root this phone and then reinstall a completely English version of Android on it? or even some other OS? I am 99% sure that I will never be using this for the telephone features.

so i have the Meta Rayban glasses and i love it. the only complaint i have is the battery life. it is not great, it can last about 4-6 hours before it is 15%. but the charging case can charge it to 50% with in 20 minutes so it is not too big of a deal.

i have now pre-ordered the Meta Oakley glasses which supposed to have superior battery life. it looks super cool. it is not cheap though. also the one i pre-ordered is a limited edition.



anybody have smart glasses? or curious about them? i love mine and can't wait for this new one.

I wanted to search to find if anybody else had posted about a small dot at the top of my screen But both dot and top were not accepted by the search making it utterly useless

As far as I know it has appeared when the notification bar is not full, and that is the only meaning of the dot I can find on a web search.

After update to One UI 7.0 the phone won't switch off.

It doesn't seem possible that the big Independence Day celebration is upon us once again. How time flies when one is having fun. So far we haven't made any plans for the 4th. My son and his family are spending the holiday at the lake. My daughter in California will use the time to move into the new home they just had built. My daughter that lives local is our only hope of doing something family oriented. The wife and I will be available for whatever. I'm sure I'll be smoking out something so we will have some good eats. It's likely that I will have some old friends in town to share a bit of time with.

Hopefully it does not come to me needing a new SIMS card, it has been ages since I activated a brand new one, that was ages since I had it, So how can I get an eSIMS though?

One day it was a crisp firm fit, and the next day it was difficult to push the plug in all the way, loose and sloppy and it comes up with 'check your charger connection' 9 times out of 10 (It still charges, but slowly) regardless of which cord I use. The data connection to PC only works sometimes too.

I did a thorough clean of the socket, some fluff came out but that made no difference. Why the sudden change?

So I am not aware that my heavy metal goes through my widex, with other people listen, until one day when I was in vacation and sat up in the kitchen table and wrote, my sister noticed it, but it was an acoustic cottage though, about like same sound as almost a small hallway, without too many doors but with paper thin ones, and the doors are wood. I have been asked to fix a phone. The problem is I don't know what to do about it. It's stuck on a bluish green screen. Could this be malware? I will try to post a few photos.

Two cats were maybe playing, or not. One was standing over the other with the other's neck in mouth. The victim(?) is a smaller female, the "bad guy" a larger male. They have the same mother although they are from different litters. Both are allegedly fixed, and seem to get along most of the time. I reprimanded him and he stopped, but soon did it again. Even I cannot believe it has been a whole year since the vivo X Fold3 Pro global edition was released. Without a doubt, this has been the best fold phone I have ever owned. Any doubts I may have had when I purchased this device have long gone.

The crease when unfolded, remains barely discernible and like the day I received it. The innovative carbon fibre hinge is as good as new. Most impressively, the 5,700 mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery that sees me, on average, through 56hours of combined use and charges 0%-100% in just 31 minutes still shows as Healthy.

The 8.03" , inner, (unfolded), screen and 6.53" cover screen at 4,500 nits peak brightness have to be seen to be believed and perform well even in bright sunlight.

Perhaps one of the things I find most useful are the under screen ultrasonic fingerprint readers on both the inner and outer displays which have worked both quickly and flawlessly. The same goes for the built-in infra red, IR, blaster.

Last but not least, the cameras on this make even a photography dummy like myself, look good. Way better than other phone cameras that I have used in the past.

When this model first launched, I said at the time that vivo had thrown everything including the kitchen sink at it and that still holds true with features and capabilities that other manufacturers are only just starting to catch up with. In fact, for the first time ever, I am not tempted by any other fold phone, either on the market or rumoured, not even the forthcoming vivo Fold5 which is virtually identical to the Fold3 Pro but with no under screen fingerprint readers and slightly slower charging. I can only but hope that vivo brings out a Pro version later in the year.
