Hey, I get it and it's frustrating, but I stay away from Android auto because of its constant problems. Really not worth the headache. Alternatives?
Waze works like a charm but not sure if it's going to do what you are looking for.

Would that remove the books? I would like to try that. Otherwise it's pretty good except that the books are often displayed vertically rather than horizontally. Is there a way to change this?

This is a good advantage of using appstore apps instead of only using the sites.

The apps make sure that you get the right versions of apps.

I have thought about how to help to return all information. Remember how I had the same problem with the hipaa compliant video conferencing(seecure.com) after changing a phone. And surprisingly was a good idea to apply for the support service or customer service. So it's, and my advice to you, at least one reason to call them, and in about 10 min you have all data restored. And if an issue is in something else, it'll be easier to know it. Reply to me if you have progressed with your problem, and I'll try to help if not.

I can turn off all notifications for ColorNote there or notification on status bar, but i want to disable it only on lockscreen. I did it somehow earlier but i cant find how

It's on F-Droid, so it's FOSS, completely off-line, NO Ads, .TXT is the default, and I sometimes use it myself.

I use the standup wireless charger I purchased at Verizon for my Note 10+. It works flawlessly with my S21 Ultra. However, a quick search on Verizon's site did not yield the exact model I have.
I would suggest buying from someone Verizon like that have dealt with customers with your phone and wireless charging needs. If they sell you a charger that doesn't work, a return / exchange should be simple.

Most hearing aids connect to Android phones using BLE (bluetooth low energy) which has a very limited range. The range is less than regular bluetooth but uses far less energy. Perhaps you are exceeding the BLE range.

I had notice what I thought was a slight position sensitivity when placing the tablet on the charging coil, but it turns out it was slight *pressure* sensitivity.

The battery is original, and performs fine, but the tablet had been left on the patio (in Arizona) and so it overheated. There was not a slight bulge to the back cover. Opening the unit revealed the LIon battery envelope was "ballooned".

The "ballooned" battery pressure was pushing the back cover away sufficiently that the small "S" shaped contacts to the charging coil on the back cover were intermittently making contact to the main circuit board.

A temporary fix was to slightly "stretch" the "S" contacts. This worked reliably for the week it took to get a replacement battery. Prior to the battery replacement there was a noticeable bow to the back cover, but also a slight bow (about 1mm) to the actual display...which was scary. With the new battery everything is back to normal.

Still so hard to find a tablet with Wireless Charging. LineageOS has mine running Android 11.

I found a workaround that I think will work for me, which is to remap left Alt and right Alt to Esc using external keyboard helper. The program I am using (emacs) treats Esc almost the same as Alt. Not quite the same, because Esc is a prefix rather than a modifier so to get the same result as Alt-n-n-n you would need to put Esc-n Esc-n Esc-n, but that's only slightly inconvenient.

As a follow-up... Nothing I tried worked. I asked a tech who came to the house to replace a hard drive on one of my laptops. How ironic - he had recently had similar issues with he and his wife's phones. My issue was between two android phones. His is android and his wife's is iPhone. To this minute the issue isn't resolved. That said, the fact that it happened to someone else who is fulltime IT service guy for android and pcs gives me hope that when I trade in my phone in February the problem will disappear!

We are installing a CBRS tower in our area for internet . It uses LTE band 48 simm cards . I am looking to see if anyone knows if any of the unlocked galaxy tablets support this protocol. Thanks Steve

This is for the same app you were praising for being ad-free in one of your other threads? Just curious, since you have posted to the forum that was created for that app in response to your post.

I'm not an android developer, but there are rules about what types of ads are allowed, which should be documented by Google if you are uploading to the Play Store. The trickier thing to judge is what your users will tolerate (as discussed above). BTW I would immediately delete any app that ever showed me a 30 second ad (no second chances, it would be deleted there and then, no matter what the app was).

Since this particular app is a VPN, users will probably not be interacting with its interface very often, more likely they just set it up and leave it running. In which case they will only see your ads on the occasions when they interact with it, which I would think would limit ad revenue. I'm pretty certain that the Play Store forbids any app from displaying ads other than when the app is open on the user's screen (something they eventually banned after months of outcry about apps that did just that). Apps that did that were regarded as malware by almost all users, and there was a time when a common question here was how to identify the app that was doing this so that the user could delete it.

It will use the lux sensor to sense the surrounding light, whenever the screen is on.

If auto brightness is not used, then this sensor is (should be) not running.

Also, when the screen is on, the actual act of Auto Brightness adjusting the brightness up and down uses power.

Not to mention that now, on modern devices, this auto control also supposedly 'learns' your brightness habits.

Mine did not (after a week or so), and I was constantly battling the stupid auto crap in order to properly/comfortably see the screen.

It was crazy!
I would go outdoors into bright daylight, and the auto crap put the screen at ~80%.

I would pull down the quick settings, turn the brightness all the way up, just to see it go right back down.
Again and again.

Likewise in the opposite, it would hover around 70% to 90% indoors with a 40w equivalent bulb across the room.

Down to 25% I would place it, only to watch as it creeped right back up.

Stupid automatic junk.
It wasn't learning anything from me, unless I was telling it how to piss me off while I was talking in my sleep.

So I put an obsolete app called Brightness Control (from Curve Fish Apps) on it, and it gives me quick, pinpoint brightness control even faster than Auto Brightness could figure out where I did not want the brightness to be.

I meet a OOM, in android 9,10,11, logs as follows:

Thank you ocnbrze for the information. I downloaded the LG Bridge setup and read the Privacy Policy. The data it collects (products/purchases, services ordered, internet browsing history et al) is worse than what google tracks. I expect the LG Backup/Restore Privacy Policy is similar, if I could even find it to read it. I'll have to look for something less intrusive for backups.

Yeah, the inputs are self-contained, so solids can only go in so far.
A can of compressed air sprayed in those areas can clean out those spots

Maybe it is working now with the following steps: I opened the terminal and set wakelock on, then I opened a new window inside Terminal and killed the old one, then I worked on the second. I should have launched during the night a counter to be sure but since I am in a hurry I launched my program and I have the feeling it works because I had some results in the morning, even though not mathematically sure, afterwords I will check the counter

Put an active SIM in it, there's no reason why it shouldn't work as a WiFi hotspot for tethering.
