its called planned obsolescence. things will break down or support will cease to exist. batteries are designed to last about 3-4 years. you are probably lucky enough that your phone has a removable battery. most phones now days do not have this. also developers stop supporting older os systems as they continue to develop for the newer ones. so apps will either slow down or stop working completely.

i will not be surprised that the update they will put out will not work for your phone. but you could be lucky and the fix is simple enough that your phone can handle the update. either way keep us posted.

Stat tracker apps question[off topic]

That is most likely the issue.

crAPPLE decided that they did not want to be compatible, and so now the customers are left with perplexing issues.

Blame whoever you want, but in the end, Apple made the decision to be and to remain incompatible.

Due to this, MMS (is that how you are delivering the product?) and other media go through some convoluted process that destroys quality.

The best solution is for you to do whatever you are doing on a system that is Android or Android compatible.

Something else you can try is to upload the media to cloud storage (Degoo offers 100GB for free) and have the customer download it from there.

The most practical solution is to format the card as exFAT.
The issue being Android only supports FAT32 and exFAT for microSD cards when used as 'portable'. If you want to use the card as transfer media between your phone and your PC that limits your options. So with those two being your options, regarding your Windows PC it has integral full support for FAT file systems but none for files systems used by other platforms. Since FAT32 isn't an option for your needs, that leaves exFAT.

A much more involved option where you format the card as ext4 does require you to root your Android device and install a third-party utility on your Win PC to add ext support. At that point, the card will be able to be used on both your Android device and or Win PC, but it's going to be a compromise. On your phone it's not going to e a matter where it'll be fully accessible using the GUI, you're going to be interacting with the card using a terminal app.
(.... and this is more opinion than anything but I'd opt for ext4 over ext2. Assuming you chose ext2 because it lacks journaling? The background writes was an important factor to take into consideration years ago but any SD card that's a decade or less old is going to have more robust storage chips in it that don't wear
as quickly.)

its not only how you root the phone that will determine how yo unroot, but what phone you have as well. specific phones will have a certain way to unroot.....so it depends
