Tello

My phone rings maybe once a week. I do text and send pictures to people.

I finally got tired of xfinity mobile screwing me and went provider shopping.

Just signed up with a service called Tello.

It is 5 gig of data and unlimited text and talk for 14 dollars a month. Xfinity was 1 gig data and limited talk/text for 25 dollars a month

When xfinity asked me why I was leaving they then offered me a $160.00 credit to stay.

I told them, they should have offered that in the past 4 years of screwing me on my bill, and I may not have decided to go elsewhere.

Now if I could find someone to get high speed internet to me for less than they are gigging me for I would dump their net service too !

galazy s23 ultra can't connect win 11

my galazy s23 ultra bluetooth pairs with my win 11 box, ie, shows in bluetooth/ 'paired devices', however right under the win11 box name shows 'couldn't connect' :
1. I have unpaired and repaired
2. restarted both phone and win11
3. phone is paired with a number of other devices that all work ok for audio and/or phone
4. using ms defender mostly default and remnants of unused mcafee that came with box
5. when requesting a connect, it briefly shows connected and then goes away
to can't connect
6. both phone and ms should have all the recent upgrades
7. when requesting to 'join personal area network', either 'access point' or 'direct connection' it appears to work on the request and then just nothing
8. AND, grhhhh, now my external speakers don't connect any more...nothing in pairing and connecting in bluetooth should have any effect on
external speakers????? yes????????
super frustrated and exhausted here

Amazon firestick vs. Nvidia Shield for TV streaming

Has anyone used either for TV streaming?
Currently I've been using the Amazon firestick on my TVs and ordered the nvidia shield to see the difference. After a day of using it, I'm really not impressed with the nvidia shield being any better than the Amazon firestick.
Not to mention the price, $150 for the nvidia shield, vs $24 for the Amazon firestick.
To make a long story short, I'm returning the nvidia shield and saving my money.

Get ready for higher prices....and its not just on food.

so the felon in chief's crusade of deporting illegal immigrants is going to cause food prices to go up. you guys bitched and moaned about Biden's economy and how groceries prices were too high. well now you guys get to reap what you sowed.

it has been reported that citrus workers in Ca have not reported for work for fear of being deported.

over 80% over the nations citrus comes from Ca! so i don't want to hear folks here bitching about their groceries....or the economy for that matter.....as things get worse!!!!!

Noncharging Charger

A great Christmas gift would be a Charger rc car. This one's a black beauty, Dom's ride from Fast and Furious. The only problem is it seems not to be charging. There is a usb cord that folds up in a compartment on the underside of the car. Just add a wall wart. Originally it worked fine. Then it was put away for a while and it doesn't run. The red light comes on fine when it is switched on and the red light on the controller works, too. It probably doesn't need new contoller batteries.

Samsung Galaxy S25: New Features? Worth Upgrading?

Who else is considering upgrading to the Galaxy S25? I've got a Google Pixel 8 Pro and have grown really tired of it. The performance has wavered, it's gotten buggier over time, and I miss the Galaxy camera experience. I've been holding out for a new phone because I don't feel like I *need* many bells and whistles these days, but after watching the Galaxy Unpacked event, I'm intrigued.

Some of the Galaxy S25 features that are enticing me:
  • AI Call recording/notes (seems like it may be a legal issue in some jurisdictions?)
  • AI writing/formatting options built into the UI (One UI 7)
  • AI photo feature to select faces that aren't blinking/smiling
  • AI video feature to isolate and adjust background noise of different types
I could probably go another year (or maybe even two) without getting a new phone, but I'm pretty tempted!

Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra? Hmm.
