I am facing an issue with lag on one of my old devices and would like to know if it can be fixed.

The issue is on the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact running Android Nougat. This issue does not exist on the older phone that is Sony Xperia Z1 Compact Running Lollipop.

Both devices are rooted.

The exact issue on this device is as follows:

When I try to watch a streaming video from youtube it would LAG and makes the video unwatchable.

But it works normally when I stream a video from the phone.

It seems to be an issue with the buffer.

I got the same issue when I tested on the two Miracast devices that I have.

When using and connecting from the Xperia mirroring feature in settings I get an HDCP message that the device can only mirror from Xperia programs that include settings Home and Music and video apps. When I try to open another app it would disconnect.

So I changed some setting that I found online for two system files to bypass this problem. I still get that message but now I can mirror anything that I want, that is the reason that I rooted the device.

I also tried it from custom ROM (Oreo) and faced the same issue with the LAG but no HDCP message there.

There is a cast feature in settings as well that will mirror the device without any lag. But that works through the LAN network and not a direct connection and only one of my Miracast devices has that feature.

There are two ways to connect to Chromecast or a Miracast device. One is a direct connection and one is through the network. I want the Z5c to work the same like it does on the older Z1c. With no lag on the direct connection.

I have a Samsung M31S for the past 2 years. Great phone. But since last one month I am not able to make any calls or anything related to sim. At the place where the network icon should be I am getting a prohibition symbol (circle with diagonal line).

I have tried resetting the phone, but to no avail. The sim card is fine as it is working in other handsets.

Any help or suggestion about this is great.

I think I just have bad luck, because my previous phone, a Galaxy S20 FE just bent and stopped working. I was generally careful with the device, always holding it witrh a tight grip and not dropping it and not damaging the device in any way. I really want to get warranty for the device in case I have problems like that despite my best efforts. I have heard some bad things about Samsung Care+ about on reddit and don't feel very confident about SquareTrade.

Can someone explain why I am now getting the following errors and how to resolve them. I have already given Tasker permission and still getting the error messages. Even when I check the option "Continue after error" the errors still occur.

The lower half, for lack of a better term, jitters constantly. This blurs whatever is rendered therein. Text is unreadable. I've never dropped it on anything harder than carpeting, in fact, it seldom leaves the house during the ~2 years I've owned it. It's never been wet.

I've done everything I can think of short of a factory reset, including booting into safe mode, flushing the cache, followed by booting into recovery and wiping the cache partition. None of this helped.

I'm open to suggestions.

I have a 4 year old Huawei T3 10 running Android 7. I get the storage almost full message, but the storage settings does not respond. I have cleared memory before, but cant now.
Is the device knackered as its 4 years old, and I dont mind replacing it as its not a lot of money, but silly to do so if theres something I can do to regain storage.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A13 running Android 12. I need to get the location history from the device. There are 2 devices with the gmail account logged in on them, so when device 2 is moving, device 1 tracking is over-ridden. So when you go into Maps timeline there are 2 devices showing on 1 account and you cannot see the timeline for device 1 most of the time. I need to know who to get the location history from device 1. Any help will be appreciated more than you can imagine, thank you!

With Android 12 on a Pixel 6, I had a bunch of apps update recently, and noticed that some icon color is now missing from my display, such as in the attached screenshot.

Settings -> Display -> Colors has no affect on the lack of icon colors.

Please advise about how to restore the icon colors? Thank you.

Just what is that supposed to mean? I was attempting to get an ebook when that happened. I tried more than once. Then I moved some files to sd in order to make room. That didn't work either. I also checked under both downloads and books, of course without any luck. It's a low level Samsung, A02s, which I got at (where else) Walmart just before last Christmas. Something that costs about $53 might not be worth that much.

I unfortunately shattered my phone. It still turns on but I can barely press anything on the screen. I am wondering if it is possible to transfer my CalyxOs data to my new phone somehow? It thought about doing a data transfer but not sure if it will work with the CalyxOs. If it is not possible, what about doing a data recovery tool hooked up to my laptop? Would I only get surface data or would my CalyxOs data somehow be accessible too?

Anyone knows what this white balloon is and how to get rid of it?
Everytime I push the button to turn off the screen, it comes up at the bottom for a second or to then goes away, but the screen stays on. Then I have to push the button again to turn the screen off. Often I have to push that button a third time.
That issue came up a while ago and I can't say what circumstances might have triggered it.
Any help on how to make it go away would be awesome!

WOW, what a weird problem!

Just a few days ago, my phone started hijacking every Bluetooth call and sending it to the earpiece. That completely stopped all hands-free calls, in and out. The vehicle's infotainment screen showed the "Privacy" icon lit up, meaning that the call was being routed to the earpiece in Private Mode.

TL/DR: unpair your vehicle in the phone's settings; delete the phone in the vehicle's settings; restart your phone and vehicle; and pair it all back up again

A quick call to the dealership revealed that, in virtually every instance, Private Mode is a function of the phone, not the vehicle. Since I couldn't find a Private Mode setting on the unlocked Z Fold 3, I spent upwards of 45 minutes on the phone with a (clueless) Samsung tech support gal. She wanted me to install an app so she could get into my phone and see what I was seeing, and I refused... it shouldn't be necessary. Just tell me how to turn this off! Since there is no Private Mode setting on the Z Fold 3, she exhausted her troubleshooting screens, and apologized.

I decided to continue troubleshooting on my own and got in the Darling Bride's car. Had trouble connecting: in disgust I just unpaired the phone and forgot the vehicle, rebooted and started over. Paired & connected, placed a call to her phone and it worked fine on Bluetooth.

I then got in my car and made a test call - Private Mode kicked in within seconds! I unpaired my phone, forgot the vehicle, rebooted and started over with my SUV. Paired & connected, placed a call to her phone... and it worked fine on Bluetooth!

Bizarre problem but if you run into it, try this method as a solution.

i have a free line thru the wife's account and also the a21 tracfone that i unlocked for metro but i hate that phone. so i'm looking at some phone on metro but they say free with a new line. i see some nord n10 and n20 phones but when i click on the item it tells me to visit a store for the ord n10 and click to buy for the n20 but can anyone tell me if the wife can go to the metro website and order that phone and have my free sim setup to it or maybe get a free line installed and then turn off the free line i have now?

i want to get rid of the a21 as that is a terrible phone. and i hear better reviews on the nord n10 and n20. i prefer the n20 for the greater storage.

does anyone happen to know if she can do this?

i have teh a21 and everytime i connect it to the pc so that i can get photos from the phone to the pc without the phone making me allow it? there must be a setting on the phone that i'm missing that will allow usb connections without making me allow them all the time. i have tried file and phots and even midi and i still have to allow the connection.

or is this a windows issue that i have to go intot he pc and change a setting? thanks
