I realized looking at this forum that I am like the kid who shows up late for class, and then asks 95 questions and looks at other's tests. Sorry! I'll keep it brief.

I remember back in the day with various phones, (Motorola Moto X Pure, LG V30, GS3, Xiaomi, etc) that there were a lot of reasons (If I remember correctly) to root phones. Debloating was a main one for me, silent custom boots was another, and cache clearing was made easier and a there were a few other benefits.

Other than looks, What benefits would justify rooting a google Pixel 6 Pro? Can I get a quicker phone with longer battery life and other benefits?

My A515 crashed with a blank screen. I can restart it and it displays the Startup Android page (see photo). Does this mean the firmware has crashed? How can I recover from this? I cannot get the phone to do anything my tapping, swiping, etc. It's stuck.

Has anyone found a good tempered glass screen protector for the s22 ultra. I've had a few from amazon and they have bits that stop your fingerprint working and it impairs the quality of the display. Any help would be much appreciated thanks

i have the lg k20 32gb phone storage and i was able to put in a 32gb sd card and let the phone combine the storage so now it has 64gb storage. but tracfone made me get a new phone because they said the k20 was not good enough and the 3g was going away, that may be true but i see they still have them on metro pcs. now metro pcs may soon discontinue them as well, so would it be worth rooting the phone and doing a firmware flash that is said to make it 5g capable? this website claims to have the software to allow you to reflash the phone into a better phone.

tracfone sent me the a21 but i do not have the storage and can't seem to make this one merge the sd card with the phone storage. i know some said i can cause issues but i have had the k20 storage merged now for 4 years with no issues yet. i have a top-of-the-line sd card so that may be why.

also i can't say i'm liking the samsung way of doing things or maybe it is even tracfone that makes the phone so hard to use. i have to jump hoops to get the photos into the pc and then i took the sd card out of my car cameras to see the video and that was a joke getting the card to show on the phone. on the k20 it just came up.

so i wonder if reflashing the firmware on the k20 will make it useable for the future and be worth doing and if anyone has used that website to do it.

I have a question about an app called UT.no.
It is a hiking app for Norway. Great app for that purpose.
To use the app offline I have to download the map of Norway. Unfortunately it is not possible to download the entire map of Norway in one time. It has to be done in small pieces. However, after 9 small pieces I can not download more pieces.
For that reason I was searching on my phone where the maps are stored but I can not find them. In fact I can not find the entire app on my phone.
Can someone help me out?

When I go into a message thread in Google Messages to read a text from someone, a space is automatically being added even when I don't type. I've just tested it and it happens 100% of the time when I am in a thread with the keyboard up and swipe out of the app. So it now shows as a draft when I exit the conversation thread. Is anyone else seeing this happen?

I've edited the mp3 data before putting the files on my phone (Galaxy S10) but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Some but not all files seem to pull 1 thumbnail from one of the files in the list.

Using Amazon Fire default email reader, the one that's already installed and available on the home screen, from time-to-time I'd like for an email to appear larger, that is without the sidebar (containing the email title & date list) nor top bar (containing the search option among other things).

I tried holding down an email in the list hoping there would be a contextual menu appearing containing an option to see the message in a new window, full-screen, reading mode, or the like, in vain (didn't see a contextual menu). I also looked at the top bar content, including settings, with no more success.

For years now, the convention has been to say "Hey kids! This winter! The new 7'.4 inch display FabPhoneDeluxe 3000!", and it always features the size of the phone by height.
You can usually easily find the width by looking at the specs, but it's rarely featured.

Given that most Western (Roman alphabet" scripts are read from left to right, it always seemed strange to me that these phones (Samsung particularly) would continue to make narrower and taller phones, when the true real estate of a mobile device desktop, (For reading) is width and not height, and how many characters you can read in a single line.

What do you think?

I have a pretty vanilla Samsung S9. This morning when I fired up the default Interner browser (Samsung's Chrome?) to Google.com and I noticed the header and bottom is a grayish tan ... not it's normal color. Normally i have 5 tabs open but only one tab opens. So i click on the search field and my recent searches aren't there. Then I notice I'm not logged in and log in and my recent searches are there. But no matter what my bookmarks are empty. Restarted my phone and ir doesn't help. Also if i close the Internet i have to log in each time. Never had to do that before. Another thing is if i have lets say 3 tabs open close the Internet and open the Internet back open it only opens one tab not the 3 that were open before closing.

Did I put it in some sort of safe browsing?
