Get text off a broken phone and put on new phone

I have an LG Stylo 6 that I demolished the screen on. It still turns on and I was able to borrow another Stylo 6 to navigate to allow transfers so it would pull up when I plugged it into the pc. I tried to do debugging the same way but it was too many steps for this half working zero visibility phone. I use my old text heavily for work. I really need them on my new phone. I figured I could get them off phone to computer and then switch. It seems there is only a free option for samsung, not lg. My new phone is a Samsung A52. There are paid apps but I do not even think they would do what I need so I hate to try. It seems like this would not be that difficult but it is. I tried the samsung switch. The one on my computer needed updated which did not work so I uninstalled it. Then I added all that was left in the world to add (similar) which was samsung mobile switch and it did not work either. I tried droidkit, dr fone, data recovery, and a couple more that I forgot the name of.

What is so frustrating is that my text have always transferred over via google account but did not this time. Neither did my image gallery (only google photos which ( do not even use). So I lost my neatly organized gallery folders of thousands of pictures. And my text did not transfer. Some stuff did transfer. I do not know if I turned a setting off the phone by accident at some point or what. I did try to find an option that would allow me to add that setting for all devices and maybe it would then back them up. I couldn't even find a setting to save text on one device, much less 2. Asking google did not help either. The text where on the text app that automatically came on the phone which I assume was LG messages or maybe just a standard on most droids. It was not on google messages or whatsapp. Also I did not have google chat selected (I heard it saves them). I have ran out of options and my job is a nightmare. Any ideas or not to difficult ways to do this?

Orbic Maui wiht Straight Talk Sim - Your phone needs a SIM card

I'm a Stright Talk customer and needed a temporary 2nd phone. I ordered a Verizon-network SIM and a month of service expecting to activate an old phone (Galaxy S5), but the phone wouldn't activate (ST says it's incompatible).

So I bought a $29 Orbic Maui (Verizon) from Walmart today expecting to plug in the Straight Talk SIM and activate it, but the phone refuses to recognize the SIM. "Your phone needs a SIM card to work. You may not have inserted your SIM card yet or it may be inserted incorrectly."

So I guess my question has an obvious answer but I gotta ask it, Is this phone likely to only work with a Verizon-branded SIM? In the past, I've been able to activate Verizon-branded phones with Straight Talk Verizon-network SIMs.

Google Phone app & Samsung Galaxy Active Watch

Hi,
I've got a Samsung S10 with a Galaxy Watch Active
I've recently switched the default dialler to Google Phone from the stock Samsung that came with the phone.
I took my first call tonight and answered no problem with my phone.
The watch was in another room and was apparently vibrating as of the call was still to be answered.
Choosing the accept or decline options on the watch did nothing except give me a message to 'check phone' and it continued to vibrate.
Have I missed something I needed to do with my watch when I switched the dialler?
Thanks

Upgrading to Gboard beta from Stable Mysteriously Makes Added Dictionary Words Stop Working

The thread title says it all. It started happening right around April 5th. I noticed -Every subsequent Gboard beta update, especially when upgrading from stable, makes the user dictionary stop working. Using a data backup app like titanium backup allows the words to come back briefly, but then they will stop swiping. The words remain in the user dictionary- but they simply will not manifest as they normally would while glide typing. Is this happening to anyone else ....and you know how to fix this annoying bug?

Help Name that icon set

I've just had to factory reset a phone for the first time in nearly 30 years. After following every backup procedure I could find, I'm disappointed to have lost the custom icon set downloaded from the Galaxy Themes site that I've used for more than 15 years. Fortunately, I did grab a few screen shots before I did the reset so I do have an image of a few of the icons. Hopefully, some here might be able to identify the name of this icon set as there are so f*****g many sets available from Galaxy themes, it seems to a impossible task to search through all of them. Sample below.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Best App for:

So I'm looking for the best apps that will do the following:
1) Recovering SMS/MMS texts that were deleted
2) Best app for recovering deleted photos/videos/documents/downloads
3) Best app for Texting (that actually respects your privacy and data and doesn't sell it to other companies)
4) Best app that will export Sms/mms to a PDF file (Google messages doesn't give the option to back up messages to SD card)

I use Google Messages, because obviously that's what come installed on the phone when I bought it. (I used to use a Galaxy S9 and I loved their app they used)...I am using a Moto G Stylus 2021 now and I hate it (I'm about ready to switch back to the S9 due to having wayyyyy more features)

Also is there a way to disable the permissions that apps request access to but literally they don't need to have access to it (ex. Microphone doesn't need access to Location, or Phone doesn't need access to Media and Files)

Also any input on how to get software on a PC that runs Windows that will recover things from both phone and SD card? And software that will actually bypass a screen lock on any phone (LG, Nokia, etc) that is free? Or if it costs that's fine as well.

Help Can't connect to school Wi-Fi network

I've recently purchased a new phone for myself, the TCL A30 (5102L). I took it to school for the first time today and discovered that doesn't detect the school's Wi-Fi. I've tried manually entering the network's SSID, and made sure that the router's standard worked with my phone (they do). I have also tried resetting all network settings and rebooting the phone itself. Both my school-issued laptop and personal laptop connect to the network just fine with no problems. I can't figure out what's happening, internet, work your magic for me!

Help Best tool to pry open a phone w/ minimal damage? (RESOLVED)

Hello, I have an old phone that didn't come with a removal battery that I need to open, hopefully without damaging the screen that much (as it already has a crack in it, & ideally I'd like to be able to use it to remotely stream apps to my old TV). The only time I had to do this before-- trying to remove/replace a battery that had died on a different phone-- I used a butter knife or something and it was a huge hassle.

Anyway I saw a walkthrough video on YouTube of someone opening a phone like this using some rounded blue triangular device (& please let me know if you can't see the attached image), but they didn't specify what it was called. Searching Amazon, I see similar items, but don't know if there are better tools out there.

Does anyone here have any recommendations for the best tools for this kind of thing? (and yes, I guess I could explain why I need to get into the phone, but feel that would convolute things).

Thank you!!

Help Is it possible to bypass the lock screen

Hi I was wondering if anyone here might have some advice on how I might be able to get past the lock screen

I am trying to get into my dad's phone (Samsung galaxy J3 6) however it has a pin and I never knew it and the few guesses I have taken at what it might be were wrong

if anyone needs more info about the phone I will answer if I am able to find it

if there are companies that might do this preferably without charging that would be great also

the phone hasn't been used in years so no clue if that might affect anything

Help Taking data off of a T-Mobile Revvl 4 +

Hey, lets just get this started with i'm too poor to go to a store to get this done.

I had a T-Mobile Revvl 4 + before I got my new galaxy, and there were a lot of photos on there, I could care less about ANY of the other data, but I would like the photos. No I did not back the photos up with any service and no they are not on an sd card.

The reason I cant get the photos off is because my screen is damaged to the point where if i turn the phone on it starts touching random things in every place, a lot of times opening the emergency dialpad, which scares me.
I've tried usb OTG cable with keyboard and mouse, I can get my password in with the keyboard if i do it fast enough but besides that the broken touch sensors just go insane after that, usb debugging has been disabled by default cause I would just turn on file transfer anytime I needed to do something on my pc with my phone.

What I am asking you is how can I get my photos off my phone. I cant use usb otg and I cant pay a professional. If needed and if someone had some I could put custom firmware on the phone or root the damned thing, anything to get those pictures. They are not backed up anywhere and are only stored on the phones internal hard drive. If it really comes down to it, Ill melt the glass glue off myself and figure out how to rip data off of the hard drive raw. which would suck i presume.

I have a nice windows desktop that I can install some apps on if needed, and I really do appreciate ALL the help you guys have to offer.

Thanks for checking in to this post and hopefully I can get my photos!

Bought a V60 off Amazon

Hello all. I am new to the forum and hoping I can get some good answer to some questions that I have.
most important now is...
I bought a V60 from Amazon as a "renewed" and I would like to know, is there a way that someone can install malware or spyware in to the base install of android 11? so no matter if you factory reset or not, the malware or spyware can not be removed.
If so, is there a way to get rid of it with either a flash or??
Thankyou for any guidance you can give.
