Hello everyone, there is a picture that was taken in another country and sent through whatsapp by another person. In the picture it is night time. When it was sent through whatsapp and received onto the note 8, the date and time is November 5, 2019 3:24 PM with filename IMG-20191105-WA0018 as seen in the screenshot. When I am importing that same picture onto my C drive using windows 10's classic right-click on note 8 and selecting "import picture and videos" in windows explorer, I get a date and time of Nov 4, 2019 3:19:11 PM. I have imported many other pictures this way and almost all of them retain their date and time fields exactly as shown on the phone. It seems like 3-4 pics from this date range aren't importing with the correct date & time.

Can someone help with solutions to this ? Thanks

Would appreciate any insight into the below.

I was scrolling through an old chat with a person who has blue ticks switched off. I see that now the very earliest messages in the chat are double blue ticked, with the latest ones remaining double gray ticked as usual.

Clicking on the info tabs for these messages it says they were all read at the exact same time quite recently say 13/12/21 at 14:58 pm (even though the messages are 1-2 years old and part of a conversation we were both responding to so I know they were read much earlier even though there used to be only two gray ticks).

I also noticed that even my voice-notes that used to have two gray ticks to show they were delivered but not whether they had been listened to, now have two blue ticks. I know they were being delivered and heard as I used to get responses specific to the content of the voice note. When I look at the info of those messages I see that all the voicenotes were heard at the same same date and time as the text messages.

What's odd is that after the first 6 months or so of messages, the written messages go back to being gray ticks, but all the voicenotes now blue ticked whether older or recent.

How could this happen? To cause the first say 6-8 months of old chat messages to suddenly become blue ticked and say they were read last month and the rest stay gray ticked? And more confusingly, what causes every voice-note from past to relatively recent to become blue ticked and say they were all heard simultaneously on 13/12/21 at 14:58 ?? I am really puzzled and would appreciate it if anyone has a clue!

It doesn't really have to have full features. Just something capable of playing music continually in the background should work. I don't want to have to pay, get spied on, have something eating up a lot of space, etc.

I know that getting an unlocked phone means no bloatware but having never gotten one before I don't know what other pros and cons there are going that route. I would very much like to get the 1TB version that is apparently only available directly from Samsung as far as I can tell but I can't afford to pay the whole cost of the phone out of pocket and I don't know that my credit would allow me to qualify for any kind of Samsung financing if they even have that. I've been having an increasing number of issues\frustrations with my Note 10 + and I am going to be on my second replacement phone in the next couple of days and think it's time to move on.

Can I get some feedback from any of you who have gone that route before?

I have service thru straight talk off of ATT Towers. My phone is a US996 which is supposedly completely "carrier neutral".

Just now got a text from Straight Talk that unless I got a new SIM( huh??) from them, my service will cease on Feb 22.

The question is..... Is this true??

I do have the option of switching to Verizon since the US996 has the bands to do either AT&T OR Verizon.

BTW, the rom is stock..... version 10F. It's been BL unlocked, TWRP installed and rooted using SuperSU.

Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it successfully. However, only got TWRP on my tab. But, now my windows 10 does not detect my tablet anymore. Is there any solution?

I'd rather not have google in the loop on my texts. I find open source keyboards but don't have voice to text or just still use googles. I find VtoT apps but not looking for a new text app, just want VtoT to work in all the places it does now but via some open source VtoT engine. Hi. On my Note 8 I have a few contacts who have changed their phone numbers. I can go in and add the new numbers but I can't find a way to delete the old ones. When I Google the question all I get is info on how to delete an old contact but not just an old number. I'm sure I must be missing something.

Even if I'd sign debug and release build with same keys, debug APK and release bundle still have different Android IDs.

Dear All!

After my lenovo Tab10 had ended its life, I bought a Lenovo P11; nice, smooth, etcetera and so forth.
Small problem: I watch replays (Ziggogo.tv in The Netherlands) which ran absolutely fine on my Tab10 but results in an unbearable jerky picture on my P11.
I think, INMO (M for modest), that I, or rather my tablet, may have a buffering problem, but how can I increase my video-buffers? Is that possible at all under Android; the table not being rooted?
Please, help me!

Is there a current tutorial posted on how to flash the firmware on S9? Seems it has changed over time as to what software you need to do this. I have an ATT SM-G960U with android 10 and one 2.5 version and I want to flash to the stock samsung SM-G960U1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

FYI: While testing an app for a developer, I found out something very strange. There is a setting under "Display" named "Screen Timeout". On my Pixel 6 Pro, the maximum time is 30 minutes. The developer, lives in the USA and his Pixel 6 Pro has a maximum setting of 10 minutes. And we both use Verizon as the carrier. That doesn't make sense especially with Google phones. I'm just curious, which maximum is the standard.
