I need a keyboard that doesnt have the backspace in the lower right corner. I need to place it somewhere else. I'm always hitting it so it deletes letters while I'm typing. Drives me crazy!

I think there is a need for an app that would notify a select group of your location and status with a verbal command. You pick the group and you pick the command. You can have multiple groups and commands. Google already will look up things for me with a verbal command, so it shouldn't be a stretch for an app to do the above? I think this would be a very useful app for personal security. I don't write apps, I just do theory work. Anyone app writers out there who could do something with this?

Is there an app I can use to read e.g. pdf files that shows the lines or some lines with a line break? Or may be another way to read pdf files without horizontally scrolling?

Say a pdf has different fonts / font sizes, paragraphs, etc. just like it is common, a pdf like usual. And I want the lines of a special format being shown with a line break so I do not need to scroll horizontally all the time when reading.

There is an app, that does break the lines but it does it with all of the lines and removes all of the formats, e.g. marked text so there is no structure anymore and makes it hard to find special lines.

Hi everyone! psyched to be part of this community.

I had this short usb charge cable that so far has been the ONLY cable that has efficiently charged my Note 5 through my car usb port, as well as being quicker through the home charge.


I lost it, and as odd as this sounds for a computer programmer , i'm not sure what length it was but it was the shortest possible i believe , which i've heard may of had to do with it's success in the car.. don't know if it was usb 2 or 3..

anyone that can shed light on this like
- is there a common solution (cable type and length) that work well
- what is the shortest length in actual size (i'm 99% sure it''s the shortest they make them, just don't know how long)

Though I am very far from being an Android expert, i still wanted to learn to create an app by myself over an year ago (on an LG Q7 phone).
All was good with the resulted app and the concepts i have learned, but somehow i managed to lose my warranty for the LG Q7 phone.

Lg are claiming that it was lost due to a "adb root" command that was executed at that time. It is true that i have used usb debugging for fast deployment and that i dont remember perfectly everything i did, however my phone surely wasn't rooted (i use banking apps daily). Isn't using this command on a phone that isn't rooted equal to nothing, like this screenshot suggests?


In your opinion is this an abuse from LG or it is completely my fault?

There is a blank notification that always pop up. I dont know where it came from and what it does but everytime i watch a video and it pops up, it automatically mutes my phone's volume. I have to lower up or lower down the volume to unmute it again and again. Please help, do i need to reformat my phone or factory reset? It has all my work's login authentication

In you text messaging app go to the right corner with the three dots open that click settings and chat settings then multimedia then pick best available, or original. That should fix. The blurry screenshots problem.

Also if you hold your finger on the blurry image that you sent. And choose view message details. you will see that the image has been resized to 10% of the original size.
If that's what you find. The above settings/chat settings/image size adjustment. Should fix your problem.

I have a question regarding transferring data to SD card on Samsung Galaxy A01 and Samsung Galaxy A10s.

Any idea how can I move applications on these phones from internal storage to my SD card, apps like Snapchat or Instagram for example?

I also have Samsung Galaxy J mini Prime and I have no problems moving apps like telegram, snapchat, Instagram to my external storage. I cannot figure out how I can do the same on the A10s and A01 phones...Or is there no such option ?

I hate to pester like this, but i was trying to get this model of phone rooted so i could maybe try running some different roms and keep it around as a stand by ready to go. And extended battery upgrades are cheap enough.

Anyways, previously with my v20 it felt like google itself, was hiding results to guides that worked. In this case, with the G4, i can find guides on XDA without issue. But none of the requisite files are there to even start the process. I get it's an old phone, but i guess part of me thought stuff like that, would be better archived since phones rarely change that drastically. Also doesn't help that a lot od them have model specific commands, and almost nothing for the model i have on hand (us991 unlocked).

i have a verizon ellipsis 10" tablet 5.1 os and for the last few weeks i have been getting the google play store or play services has stopped. i cleared the cache and then install updates and they come back then i fore stop them and they start back up, i even disable them and still they come back running and then i get the message again. how do i get past that error it plays havoc on the table as i use it for a security camera monitor running the tinycam app and when i start getting this error the table starts running slow.
i don't use this table for anything but a monitor for that app so i have turned off about everything to help make it run faster.

outside of doing a factory restore and then disabling those 2 app what can i do to stop that error?

I have just received a phone call over whatsapp from an unknown number.

When answering I could just hear a normal family chatting at the dinner table.

Nobody was aware about the call happening, so I just said 'hello?' for two times and hung up.

Calling the number just resulted in nobody taking up the call.

This has never happened to me before and the strangest part is that the whatsapp account appears as last seen for about 10 days ago.

I have recently installed adguard with it's certificates and nothing else coming outside the android app store.

What do you think about this?

As I have read, there have been attacks like this a few years ago and whatsapp is said to have that specific weakspot sorted out by updates.

Might my android Samsung be compromised from this single call?

Again, a plain simple family talking at the dinner table.

hey.

im not able to copy files to my phone.the phone is updated all over,as is my pc.when i drag .mp3 files over to phone(in windows) i get a popup that says (https://i.imgur.com/CiLRJ5D.png),and it just sits there trying to copy over but nothing happens.the phone is new and i have not tried to copy over to it before.ive tried it on 2 different pc's,nothing works.
i also noticed that when double-clicking in windows it says that the folder is empty.

i have an older moto g6 and it works fine with that phone.and theres no issues with windows. let me know if theres any other info i can give.

After a long hiatus in its case, I charged up the Gear 360 for an upcoming event... only to discover that it is apparently abandonware.

The first sign of trouble was the Gear 360 app - the Google Play Store has version 1.4.00, even though version 1.5.00 was released months later. No matter: neither works well with Android R as attempts to view the Gallery crash the app. I tried older versions from APK Mirror, but none of them worked.

Next is the bewildering issue of files. I have a 400 GB SanDisk microSD card in it. There were no files on it. I shot three short VR sample videos in our den; inserted the card into my PC and copied them there. Then, working with Gear 360 Action Director, I tried to open the videos and edit them. Here's where it gets weird.

I can open the videos in Explorer and see myself, in my den, walking around the camera. Importing them into Action Director, however, the same file names show an old event from years ago - instead of a 30-second clip, it's nearly 12 minutes!

Can't I just format the card and wipe it clean? NO - because the Gear 360 write-protected the card! I can't even delete the files on it now! Attempts to remove the read-only attribute in command line failed.

Unless I can find a way around this, we have an expensive (and stylish) paperweight.
