Help Google Play Apps will NOT Update!

As of a couple of days ago, I can not get my Google Play apps to update anymore. What happens is that if you select to Update one app or Update All, it starts the process like it's going to update, and then just stops. Then if you click on Update again, absolutely nothing happens. If you click on an individual app in the pending apps to update list, then click update, it just says 'pending' forever.

I've tried every single troubleshooting step/known fix that there is from all the research I've done. Yes, I cleared all of my data/cache, uninstalled updates, set my apps to update on any network. I even updated the app back to the newest version after I've uninstalled updates, etc, etc, and nothing works, the same issue. Here is a good article that lists many of the steps I've tried: https://helpdeskgeek.com/help-desk/how-to-resolve-the-play-store-download-pending-issue

I've NEVER had an issue with my Google Play before. I'd appreciate any help if you know something else will work.

Android phone setup and Google sign-in

Hi All. Just doing some research on Android 5, and I can not remember something (from around 2015). Hope somebody can remember!!.

** On a new Samsung S4 phone setup, when first setting up, and details are filled in...can anyone remember if signing into Google Play Store only... automatically signed you into Google Drive and Gmail (and other google apps on the phone) ? I have a vague recollection if you signed into Google Play store when the phone was set up....it DID NOT sign you automatically into other google apps - That is ... you had to sign in individually into Google drive and individaully into gmail.. (but i am not sure).
And is this different to now??, where signing into Google Play store DOES indeed sign into all your google accounts.

If i am correct...when did google start to do this "auto sign ins to all accounts"?

Thanks from a person with bad memory!!

Help BLU Dash L4 LTE - NO cel service in medical buildings

Title says it all! I get that this phone isn't the greatest, but I literally NEVER have service issues anywhere, except the moment I walk into pretty much any new-ish medical-type building. Everyone else around me will be on their phones, so I know not ALL signal is being cutoff, yet mine just says "no service". Try rebooting -- nothing. So I have to think it's the radio. Just wondering if there's anything I can try with the network settings or something before I chuck the phone altogether.

MAC Address Appears under Each Network Server Displayed

I have a Samsung Tablet- Galaxy SM-T350 Android version 7.1.1

When select Settings/Connections/WIFI and click on WIFI option
a list of all the networks displayed in range appears with name and the MAC address of the Network
I would like to know how to stop the Mac address of the network name from displaying

I have tried the following to resolve the problem by selecting:
Settings/General Management/ RESET NETWORK and them RESET - either processes did not turn off the MAC address display

I also have a Samsung Galaxy Cell Phone SM-J320W8 with the same Android Version 7.1.1
and the MAC address does not appear under the Networks

I would like to know how to turn off the MAC addressed displayed under the Network Name
Thank You

Problem getting location inside a foreground service on Android 11 when screen is off

I have an app that gets location updates on a foreground service, even when the screen is off. On Android 10 downwards it works perfectly fine, I've created a foreground service declaring the permissions on the Manifest file and it has foregroundServiceType="location". For testing purposes, I've created a POST request where I send the location updates to my computer so I can see when the location is being updated even when the screen is off.

So far everything is fine. However, on Android 11, I don't receive location updates when the screen is off. I've already read resources like this question on Location Updates on Android 11 from StackOverflow telling me that besides getting the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, I also need to get the ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION separately, just so I can get location updates. But that's not what I'm seeing in practice, even though when I ask for ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION in a different moment as dangerous permission. I only get location updates while my screen is on (it doesn't matter if my app is opened or not). The moment I turn off my screen, I don't receive any updates on my location. Am I missing any extra detail here? Is there anything else I should be doing for receiving location updates when the screen is off on Android 11?

S21 Ultra battery

I have a Note 3 that I'm considering replacing, and the S21 Ultra is currently at the top of my shopping list.

1) I know I can use the S-pen from the Note 3 with the S21 Ultra, but is there a hole to hold it like there is with the Note 3? Or am I just supposed to carry it around in my pocket?

2) Can I buy a second battery for the S21 Ultra? Where?

Yet another new phone

I let somebody borrow my Moto G Stylus and now it is doing the Android in need of surgery thing. Therefore I am at least temporarily using a different, brand new, MGS. The crazy device is built differently from the other one and I can't find the normal three things at the bottom, especially the go back part. It's drive by me nuts. I was thinking maybe it was some of that new gesture stupidity but maybe not.

Accesing rooted data from a broken-not rooted device

So.....I guess this has a short answer, that is no. But anyways.

I need to recover data from my broken screen Samsung. Somehow someone got to recover the information in a flash drive. But all the content Im looking that should be under data/data.... is nowhere...

My point is, are those files "hidden" and there is a way to acces them or is it that the phone needed to be rooted in the first place so that those files could be even copied.

Thanks a lot in advance

APP - Count your money with only your camera!

9xlrujM.png

Hey forumers!

I have recently released an app that allows you to count banknotes through the camera of your mobile phone: you put them on a table, bring your phone close to it and you automatically get the price on the screen, just like that:

https://www.tiktok.com/@vlazeholdin...r_device=pc&sender_web_id=6910526963532154373

To name but a few functions, the app:

- It works with the vast majority of banknotes in the world, for example euros, dollars (USA, Canada, NZ and Australia), Pakistani rupees, Emirati dirhams, etc.... In short, those with Arabic numerals on any of their sides, with some exceptions.

- It processes all the information super-fast and within the device itself, 100% offline.

- It keeps a history of your recent calculations so you can consult it whenever you need it.

My idea is to start playing a bit more complex camera projects if this one works out well. The first 5 people who ask me for it will receive a promotional code to download the app for free.

I'll leave the link to Google Play below, thank you very much!

Lenovo Chromebook Duet keyboard

I recently acquired a Chromebook Duet and have a question about the keyboard. I didn't find a forum I thought fit properly so I hope this is the right place.

He default keyboard sucks, unless I can find settings to change it. It doesn't automatically put a space after a period or comma, it doesn't automatically capitalize the letter "I", and others I don't recall at this time.

I installed Swiftkey and set it to default. Perfect. I can use the keyboard for a while and then when I open something to use the keyboard, it's defaulted back to the standard Duet keyboard. When I go into the settings to enable Swiftkey again, it's not listed. I must reboot and then it's listed. I then select and enable Swiftkey all over again. I can't keep it selected.

So, anyone know how to set Swiftkey as the default permanently? Or how to adjust the settings on the default keyboard?

Need new Note

My Note 3 still works, but I recently cracked the screen and it's time to move on. I want:

A stylus (S-pen like the Note 3)
5G capability
A camera with good zoom (for pix of distant real estate features)
Can be rooted (preferably bought already rooted)
Can be used as a hot spot for wifi in case my internet fiber connection goes down
Unlocked, to use on MetroPCS in the US, and optionally other carriers

I'm posting this in the Note 20 forum, but maybe I should be looking at the Note 20 Ultra. Or maybe a different brand, as long as it has a stylus and the other features above that I need. I've had good luck with my Note 3, but I'm not sure of reviews for other brands.

I plan to pay cash, and have no problems even buying used/eBay, etc.

Amount of RAM, storage, CPU are of little concern to me, as any current phone has more than enough for my needs. I don't do videos texting, or social media - I just make phone calls and send an occasional e-mail.

I'm also not a guy who needs to have the latest and greatest to show off to friends. I'd buy a Note 3 or 4 if I could get it with 5G. Unfortunately it's hard to shop because it doesn't seem to occur to vendors to list all the features of their phones in their ads. I could use some advice, including good places to buy from.

Help Hibernation Manager

I have a Pixel 3 with Android 11 with battery drain problems while the screen is off.
I found Hibernation Manager on Google Play and while installing it received a message that the app is for a previous Android version. It was last updated 20-Jul-2017 for Android 7.0. However, it does appear to work with 7% battery drain overnight.

I tried to email the developer about future updating but the email address shown on Google Play does not exist.
Does anyone know if this app is still being developed and will it be updated or is this app obsolete?
