I've recorded several videos on my Mate SE sideways, or 'landscape'.

I've copied them to a windows machine and they play fine. When i upload to some sites, the video appears upside down.

Since the phone was held sideways, I don't know which way would have prevented this. I suspect there's a marker, a metatag in the file somewhere.

Now that it's done, and plays fine in windows, anyone know how I can detect and fix the upside down issue before I upload to a video hosting site?

I was thinking about looking at the stars as a hobby. I am a total novice and the more I look at the hobby, the more daunting it looks.

Nowadays, they have telescopes that do computerized image process for astrophotography and sky gazing.

They are Stellina, Vespera and Evscope. They do everything at a premium price point. They find objects for you, photograph them and process them.

Apparently, the experienced purists mock this stuff. Does anyone here have any knowledge of this stuff?

Despite Google mandating that all phones launched on Android 11 must support the A/B partition for Seamless Updating, the Galaxy S21 series of devices will not be featuring this, IMHO, useful feature. See...

In a nutshell, Seamless Updates allowed the latest firmware update to be downloaded in a separate partition whilst the user carried on until the phone was ready to update by rebooting using the new firmware's partition instead of the previous partition. It makes updating very clean, simple and easy. OnePlus for instance, have been using it for a number of years.

Google threatened last year that new Android 11 phones, onwards, that did not support A/B partitioning could not be updated in future.

However, Google has back pedalled on this demand and the Galaxy S21 series of phones will continue to feature the usual system update.

I have just tried to listen to some music on my Moto G7 Power using Google Play. I have been using this app for an age now, but it's now telling me "Google Play Music is no longer available" and that I can 'transition' the music on the phone to my youtube account. This means that I will have to be on line to listen to my music on my phone, or that is what I believe? Instead of just listening to it straight from the phone.

Does anyone know if I have got it right and if so is there any way around it where I can listen from my phone without being on line. I only have a small data allowance and if this is the case I can't see why I should have to pay to listen to MY music.

My HTC M9 requires the charger to be connected and the battery indicator to show 100% Otherwise if I switch on without the charger connected the phone gose into restart mode. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Is it possible to record a video while playing a video with android-studio? I would like to record a video via a mobile phone's camera while playing a video via YouTube or any video player. For example using the [camera2 API](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/camera2/package-summary) for recording videos and storing them on a device and using [VideoView](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/VideoView) to play video simultaneously. Is this possible? If yes, how?

So, our family is using Life 360 so we can all see where we're all at. We like it but I'm sick of it constantly killing my battery. Life 360 when not moving it updates periodically. But, if you're on the move, it's updating real time.. I don't need real time updates. Every 5 minutes or so is more than enough. I was thinking too maybe an app that doesn't update the app location unless I send a request for the update that would be sent via text message. We use mm Guardian to monitor our kids phones and it has that feature but it's more geared for kids. It monitors everything you do on your phone.. I don't want to monitor my wife. Seems like there would be an app that does just the tracking piece.
