I have an issue that just started. I purchase e-gift cards a lot from my phone. Done it for years. The scanner scans the barcode or QR code and all is well...until 2 days ago.
Today, a QR code wouldn't scan. I figured maybe my screen was dirty-cleaned it. Adjusted brightness. Nope. It The merchant's scanner just didn't seem to recognize it.
I figured, it was a bad scanner.

So, I go to load money into my bank and the way I do that immediately through the app, is it will generate a barcode.

I went to the local drug store (that I use all the time) and the self scanner didn't detect the barcode. I then had the cashier try. Same thing that happened with the QR code.

I rebooted the phone. No luck. Any suggestions? I use this EXTENSIVELY and if scanners (and and otherwise) can't read my phone, is my only option to finally upgrade?

my android says it's low on storage. trying to delete or move what i cm, like photos, etc. there's a file folder named "rar" in This PC\Roger's Moto\Internal shared storage. it takes up 5GB. all i can find it for is windows. can i delete this folder? it contains Win10_1809Oct_v2_English_x64 folder, which contains boot, efi, sources, & support folders, along with bootmgr, bootmgr.efi, & setup.exe files. should i delete it? don't know where it came from

Pixel 4a and Fitbit charge4tracker compatability.
Has anyone had success getting a Pixel 4a to work with the fitbit Charge4 tracker App? Fitbit support tells me they cannot help as the 4a is not yet on thier compatability list. I have read in other forums that others may of been successful. Thanks Mike

I bought a phone on Ebay. It's Google locked and wants me to log in to Google so that I can set up the phone. The seller gave me his email and password but the phone doesn't care. It just keeps saying to log in. I know the credentials are right because I can log in online with them. He reset the password recently, and I'm told this starts a 24 or 72 hour timer in which you can't log in. But I couldn't find anything that says whether it is 24 or 72 hours for this phone... Galaxy S9. Can someone tell me? I want to know whether to send it back to him for a refund or if I just need to wait a little while longer.

Discovered yesterday (20 Jan 2021) that I am not receiving calls from landlines. From mobiles there is no problem. The landline pretends to call, but after 1 1/2 rings it cuts out (nothing on my phone).

Is this something I have done? Is it a known problem? Can I change back?

Hey All,

Recently been having issues sending SMS. sms ringtones
The RCS texts work fine but SMS fail to send most of the time. This is also happening to a friend with the same phone. He's on Version network I'm on AT&T. I'm using Google's Messaging App have tested this with original app. Same issue. Any clues for a fix? This just popped up for us.

Hello,
A couple of weeks ago I enabled developer mode so I could disable auto-updates. More recently, I paired my phone to my computer. Today I needed to transfer several files, so I connected my phone to my computer via USB, as I've done since day 1, except now the phone is only charging. I went into developer options and found the USB section, which was already set on file transfer.
I searched how-to's for help, and find that I should be getting an option to modify what the USB connection does when I connect, but the phone only wants to charge and is not giving me any other options.
What can I do to get my file transfer capability back?

When I play audio in a folder on main storage and press "pause", it keeps its place in the audio file even if I switch to other programs (e.g. Contact or Messages). When I want to switch back, Music program has the audio file still open. And it remembers where it was when I pressed "pause" and resumes from that spot.

But when the audio file is in a folder on the SD Card, I can't switch back to it. It "loses" the whole file and I have to re-select it from its folder and restart it from the beginning. Apparently this is a bug in Android's handling of SD Card audio files. Has anyone come up with a circumvention to get Android to keep the audio file open - and at the place where I pressed "pause"? Failing that I'll have to keep having all audio files take up space in the main storage.

I had the Robokiller app for several months, then deleted it...or so I thought. Now when someone calls they still hear the greeting from Robokiller, leave a voicemail, however I don't get the voicemail, nor do I get the icon showing that I have a voicemail. Puretalk advised me to reinstall Robokiller and delete again, but that doesn't work either.

Internet is full of apps like Alfredcamera etc for using a mobile as a surveillance camera. Easy to use, but the videos/pictures are lousy, blurry 1080 res. Cant even read a car license plate with those.

I want to set up a mobile at a house(no WiFi) which is empty most of the year and occasionally do a check .
I dont need any vidoes with alarm and motion detection. I simply need to be able to take sharp HD pictures in original mobile quality, and have them sendt back to my main mobile or PC. How hard can that be in 2021? Well I havn't found any apps yet that can do this. Someone know?.
