Russia just cyber attacked us for many months and we are just finding out about it. who knows what they did when they hacked us.......and where is trump???????

why has he not denounced such intrusion? why has he not demand that Russia should pay for what they did? i think putin has some kind of hold on him. he has never reprimand or come down hard on putin during his 4 years in office. it is really shameful that president-elect Joe Biden has to be the one to call out putin.

i think he has brainwashed the republican party into thinking that the votes was stolen from trump, and that Russia is our friend. it is utter ridiculous. why has no one from the republican party said anything yet? why are they so quite when it comes to russia?

I must be missing something, but how do we specify specific sounds for each app/notification. We want a different sound for the various apps we have so when a notification comes in we can tell which app the alert belongs to. We have looked everywhere and cant find it, just the sound for notifications in general, not real helpful.

I was on a call yesterday at home 2 ft away from the modem and the call dropped, then a message came up on the screen "device not activated for voice" or similar to that. Phone would not work. I replaced the sim card at carriers store but seems the wifi isn't working anymore. I used to have the phone handset icon appear at the top right with the wifi signal. That handset icon no longer is there. When activating wifi originally i got a code from my carrier and all was good. Now with the new sim card my wifi is on, I have the wifi icon on the top right and the modem shows in my settings, however that little handset icon is gone and needless to say all calls today have cut out. I can be 2 ft away from the modem and I fade in and out. I am thinking that even though the phone shows wifi... it really isn't connecting. I do not have the option now to get a code from my carrier as for whatever reason is beyond me.. it was automatic when first setting up now it isn't. My phone carrier has no personal support, and the forum for that carrier isn't answering my request. I am a senior citizen living alone and I have got to have this phone operating correctly. Does anyone have any idea why it would recognize the wifi and modem.. but not work at all and where did my little handset icon go to? Thank you in advance for any help... this is so important right now.

I have had a galaxy A20 for approximately 4 months. Google playstore has never worked, it just says "not found" when i click on it. I now want to download an app so i need it to work. I have watched countless videos, clearing cache and data etc, and nothing works. I am now looking at a factory reset, but don't even know if tht will solve the problem.

Samsung has just started rolling out an update for the Galaxy S20 FE 4G, (G780F), to multiple countries on unbranded devices.

Okay, I found a way. Connect a cable from the phone to the chromebook and moved with "Files". It's not bad but if there are alternative ways I'm eager to hear them.

Does anyone know off a way to stop Apps asking for update ( not a play store app i have that turned off)?
The app i am talking about is BBC Iplayer, when i try to update it says not suitable for this. I am running android 6 on a minix U9-H. If i could turn off update i would be able to run it on an earlier edition.

I've had this phone for about a year and have had intermittent issues with MMS and data usage. It is an unlocked phone. My carrier is Walmart Family Mobile.
Under my APN settings, there is T-Mobile and T-Mobile MMS. I verified with my carrier that they should be set to tracfone.
I am unable to edit the existing APN settings, and whenever I add a new one with the correct information and click "Save" it takes me back to the previous screen with no new APNs to choose from. I have power cycled a hundred times, reset all my APN and network settings, used third-party APN apps (that bring me to the correct screen but with all options to edit greyed out still), updated my APN through my carriers website at which point I received a text saying "We are sending your phone an update." but after an hour and multiple restarts I still only have the T-Mobile options. I've done everything I can think of to try and fix it. My carrier said there's nothing they can do about it since it won't let me add a new APN. Is there anything I can do? This has been such a hellishly annoying issue.
The thing is, it works occasionally. I'll get a flood of backed up MMS messages from the last few days, and then I can no longer send or receive them. I imagine that has to be because Wal-Mart Family Mobile uses T-Mobile's towers, but I don't know. It's not a T-Mobile SIM card, it's the one I was sent when I signed up for the plan. And like I said, it is definitely an unlocked phone. I don't understand why T-Mobile has any business forcing their APNs onto my phone. Am I SOL or is there something I can do to force my phone to accept my carriers network information?
By default, my network is set to HOME. Occasionally, when I open my network settings, it shows my network as Family Mobile and then immediately switches back to HOME. When trying to select a network manually, HOME is the only option available.

My Android version is 7.0. I have been using VLC media player for the longest time. Now it simply will not work. I get a message for one second saying something like "The file at xxx cannot be played." Is there a known issue? Is there a fix? Thanks.

I'm thinking of writing an app but I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

On my Mac I wrote a simple AppleScript program to prompt me to exercise. I have a file with a list of a bunch of movements/stretches; the program picks a random one tells me which it is and times me for one minute.

It uses voice synthesis to read me the exercise prompt, to give me a countdown to start and a countdown to end.

Does anything like this exist for Android?

It looks as though Verizon were premature with their original Android 11 release for the Galaxy S20 series, at the beginning of December.

Original speculation was that they had jumped the gun and rolled out pre release Beta build as the, "Z" in the build number would indicate...

I am new at Android Development and I installed Android Studio 4.1.1. I created an app then I put a button on the screen and changed the attributes. Had some issues so I decided to exit Android studio and then start a new App.

In this new app, I added a new button, but it kept the attributes of the previous button. How does this happen? If I accidently changed the default attributes for all future buttons, how can I change it back to default?

I've modified the stock bootanimation of an Lg Lucky (L16C) with another one (custom) from XDA.
Once I gave root permissions to the smartphone with KingoRoot, downloaded a file explorer, copied the "bootanimation.zip" file in the proper folder (/system/media), edited the R/W permissions to "R/W" for all categories (user, admin, system) and rebooted the smartphone, the LG Lucky phone booted up with LG logo, then the custom bootanimation, but then the sequence of images slowed down and the smartphone booted up again: this continued to happen until I disconnect the battery from back.
I saw on the Internet lots of guides and tutorials of how to unbrick a soft-bricked smartphone, and I even tried to disassemble the unit to replace the phisycal memory with a new one, but I turned out that was all soldered together and I couldn't find any parts on Internet. Now I have no idea of what to do, because I discovered that it can't enter in Recovery/Fastboot/Download Mode, even if it's an Android Phone (android phones usually have their own stock recovery installed, so I didn't installed a custom one), because it continues to goes in bootloop, ignoring mine inputs from the buttons.
Obviously there's not a chance trying to connect with ADB, because it goes in bootloop before the launcher can open. Is it possible to repair the smartphone with a JTAG process?
Then, I tried to search if it was possibile to wipe data out of the memory without using recovery/fastboot/download mode: i found some over-complicated tutorials that I couldn't understand.
I finally wrote on this forum to see if someone can help me (note: not go into specific terms or commands because I'm quite a beginner).

I just upgraded my Note 9 to the Note 20 Ultra 5G and I love it?

I have a question I hope to get some help with. On my Note 9 I would have YouTube open while using Google maps. YouTube would stay open in a small window on top of Google maps.

With the Note 20, I can't do this. When I open Google Maps and try to open YouTube, Google Maps drops into the small window. Then it closes as soon as I maximize Google.

I don't know if I did a very good job explaining my problem. I look forward to hearing any ideas, thoughts, opinions, or suggestions. Thank you all for the time and have a great night!

Hi, my Poblano VLE5 Hot Pepper phone has just stopped ringing about two weeks go. The calls go through,but I never hear them and only know someone called if I check my phone all the time.
I checked to see if I had the ringer turned on,and yes,there's a ring sound. However,I dont hear it either when I click it to listen to it.
I got this replacement phone when my other one died about 6 months ago,so it should be working fine. Does anyone know where I might check on my phone other than where the ring sounds are on settings? I may have changed something I dont know about.

I just noticed today when attempting to go into the Play Store and search for an app that I cannot search at this time for apps & games, and I have No idea why. The only option at this current time is Movies & TVs or Books. I cannot figure out how to change this around at all.

I can go to My Apps & Games and see currently installed apps, but it doesn't give me an option to install anything new.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Hello all, I'm trying to get the same functionality I had with hangouts. I want to receive calls and text with the same FI ph# on multiple devices, not limited to one pc and one phone. I could do this with Hangouts and FI. I have a pixel 5 with Fi Sim voice and data. Using hangouts I was able to receive calls and text on my old pixel 1xl, no Sim wifi only. I keep it on my desk at work 4 stories below ground where there is only wifi. Also i kept my old moto G on the night stand upstairs which has no Sim in it either just wifi and I could send and receive calls or text with the same Fi ph#. I spent about 2hrs in chat with Fi support and she eventually gave up, without a definitive " it either will work or will not" . The problem is on a 2nd wifi only phone (same Google account as primary FI Sim phone) when you try to use messages for web it doesn't allow the browser bar code scan, it ( defaults to messages app) and it will bump your FI Sim phone from the account to allow the next wifi only phone to work, which becomes the phone associated with your Fi account, even with no Sim in it. This is not a solution to activate a different device everytime you want to use a different one. Purchasing a second FI sim doesn't resolve the problem so not sure what the end game is for them by removing this functionality . I have not tried it on a tablet, I looked in the Google community forums and a few time the questions was asked and everytime it wasn't answered and locked.
