(I am using the Samsung Galaxy J2 s260dl, i specify because i may have uploaded this to the wrong forum because i am new.)
So, a while back i used an app store to install a beta version of snapchat, but now, it will not update to the latest version at all. I am stuck on 10.88.5.71 Beta when the latest version is 11.7.0.62. When i uninstall the app and go to google play to install it, i click the install button, and it instantly installs right back to 10.88.5.71 Beta. I have also tried installing it through an APK of the latest version and i get the error "App Not Installed". And if i try to use ADB on my computer to install it, it refuses to work.
I don't know how to fully remove snapchat from my phone and i have tried all but rooting it. And if i root it, i may mess up and brick my phone or have to wipe it. Besides, it wont allow me to enable OEM unlock to try and root it anyways and i have tried my best to enable that. I feel like a factory wipe would be the only solution but after a wipe, i dont know how to reactivate my phone. So i'm trying to go about this without wiping it if possible, but if that's the only way, well that would be pretty sucky.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a way to force snapchat to install with ADB or something regardless of whatever error it may have? Like, is there a command that i can type that will just force-install the app to my phone?

I have this Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime (bought around three years ago). As it was getting annoyingly slow I decided to factory reset it. Okay, it got too much better but now it doesn't let me to install some applications. Specifically I am trying to install the 'Airbnb' app and actually when I look for this in Google Store it doesn't even show up in the list. If I search in Google using Chrome I do find it but when I tap the install button it says that my 'device is not compatible with this version'. The funny part is that I had the very same app version installed before to reset the phone and it worked fine then so I KNOW that it is able to run it.

So I checked the OS version and it says it is Android 6.0.1. I think this is the problem. Along the last three years it may have updated my Android for a newest version (I don't know which one) and probably when I factory reset it I may got too much back in time.

Now the question is: how can I force it to update to a newest Android version?

I tried config >> software update >> download updates manually but it didn't work -- it turns a wheel for a few seconds (looking for available updates) and after a while it says that the latest updates are already installed (and don't let me do anything else).

The only things that passed through my mind so far was to bring it to a maintenance store or bang my phone with a hammer and buy a new one. LoL!



However I was looking for less drastic options... Any idea???

I want to have the ringer silent, with no vibration, and be able to set all other volume controls as I prefer.
I never accept calls, but want to be alerted, when I receive notifications from some specific apps, by a sound.

I am using a BQ Aquaris M5.5 mobile phone.
It appears the BQ brand no longer exists (I have been gifted the device).

Is it possible to upgrade the os?

This has been a depressive year for all of us due to the virus, so I'm thinking of giving someone an android phone cause I know she's been using hers since the beginning of time. Not sure it will take away the depression but thought it might put a smile.

As some here will know, I have a great many issues when using/choosing a keyboard to use on Android.

So, when a keyboard comes around that seems to have promise and satifies most of my needs, I try it out.

Does android differentiate between the white notification Icon at top of the screen vs the Popup Message at Top of Screen? Or does it treat them both as the same entity, notifications, in the options?

Android 11, Pixel 4a 5g

Hi to all.
I'm using a Samsung S10, ver 10.
It's a strange one.
If I go out of the house, even to the garden, I lose my wifi signal, which is fair enough.
When I go back into the house it shows a full wifi signal at the top.
I look in settings and it says connected.
(Sometimes it says connected without wifi)
But it's not connected because I can't connect to internet with browser.
I've got it set to automatically reconnect.
I have to go to settings, turn off the wifi and turn it back on.
Then I'm OK unless I leave the house.
My wife doesn't have the problem with her phone, and my 2 computers and Google Home speakers are ok.
It's annoying because I end up forgetting, then find I've missed several Whatsapps once I remember to turn wifi off/on.
Any ideas?
Is there a way I can reset the phone wifi settings?
Or something?

I dont know if anyone can help me, I bought a google pixel3a to install grapheneOS, I followed youtube videos particularly Techlore and also used grapheneOS site.

The problem I have is aftler locking the bootloader the phone reads

Cant find valid operating system. The device will not start. Im a bit tech savy with some things but im struggling with this.

Ive searched a lot of forums including this one and other particularly reddit and xda. Ive even tried installing fastboot with adb but it doesent seem to recgonise the phone now. Has anyone had similar issues? I also know this is a fault that can happen with some google phones, if anyone can help please let me know.

Help me

My att S20+ had a software update over the weekend. While some nice changes were included, I've lost some functionality that I can't seem to get back. Side note: using nova launcher pro.

I use K9 mail and I no longer get notifications for new mail once it has arrived. I have to keep opening K9 to see if I have anything new.

Additionally, I no longer have notification badges on my apps, like email and text (I use textra).
